Comfortable beds and room, friendly staff and helpfull. Their didnt like the fact I googled for a specific Best Western Motel in Mackey as I wanted to utilize my fly buys, I did my booking online and this came up as one but when I got there it wasn't and as it was late when I arrived I was to tired to go looking for something else... I also think bathroom need to be renovated as toilet keep running and the bathroom area looked dirty and unclean

Location not far from Mackay Airport No breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. Drink vending machine is located inside the reception which closes after 9:00 PM Although the check out time is 10:00 AM, we were woken up at 06:30 AM by the loud banging of our roof where some repairs were planned on Saturday. We had gone to sleep only at about 2:30 AM with long flights ahead to take. We have requested some compensation for this. We have already arrived back home in Europe. If we do get our compensation then I am satisfied. If not, I will never use Miner's Lodge Motor Inn again.

We got a 2 bedroom studio, which we actually didn't book. Great dinner in restaurant. Noise of car traffic and planes (turned out to be close to the airport).

Clean & comfortable, & a Quiet AIR_CON, Hooray. There is space for an extra bench to place a port so it would be good if you installed one near the bathroom. The bench space near the tv is not satisfactory for a port & personal items together. A toaster in the room would be good also.

Catered well for families. Thoroughly appreciated the Moconna coffee sachets, the mug-sized cups, 5 cartons of real milk and biscuits for everyone. The rooms were older but the amenities were great - new Tvs in each room, a bath for the babes and a backyard to play. Very happy with our stay and pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Found the beds to be a bit hard but the pillows were comfortable and the bedding was sufficient to have the aircon on and not freeze at 4am!

Dated rooms, aircon not operating correctly, appalling fish meal from the Bistro, terrible bathrooms, under the flight path to Mackey airport, last helicopter 12:30AM and started all over again at 04:30AM. Add to this the overpriced tarrif - never stay here again.

This motel while old was very clean. Free Internet was a bonus. There is a fair smattering of Mine Workers staying at this hotel and they appear to leave very early in the morning and create noise by talking amongst themselves.

The parking for my room was rediculous... my room was only seviced 3 times for a one week stay ... i had to ask for conditioner as mine was empty on arrival... one of my sevices only one bed was made. my room prior to arriving was supposed to have garden veiws there were NO veiws the price for 1 week was rediculous i have stayed in 4 star resorts in surfers paradise for alot less! I ordered room sevice and the oyster kilpatrics were raw. There was only 1 washing machine and dryer . Which made it difficult to get washing done. Over all i was not happy with my choice to stay at miners lodge.

Close to city. Reasonably priced and quite well appointed. Light in shower/toilet did not work. Bed was far too firm.
