Nice Restaurant They have a dinner and Accommodation package that we only found out about once we had already booked the room and were eating dinner. So it seems we missed out on that opportunity.

Everything was wonderful at Miss Maud's hotel and I would recommend it to all my friends, except the elderly ones who cannot manage half a dozen stairs to the lift. The smorgasbord breakfasts included in the daily rate were delicious and the cheerful staff started our day on a high note. The bakery next door was very convenient when we just wanted to purchase a simple meal to take to our room or out on the deck on the second floor.

The staff were extremely helpful and the Christmas smörgåsboard is a fantastic dining experience that justifies a visit to Perth. The Dining room was very well decorated for Christmas and two very large ginger bread houses dominated the dining area. There were two windows in our room but it was no point in opening them or looking out as there was only an ugly building only one metre. However, that also meant that no street noice could reach us.

Travelling for a conference alone, I felt safe, comfortable, good internet wi-fi access ( although you pay extra), excellent personal service and the breakfast selection superb - well worth staying at Miss Maud for that alone! The Sunday smorgasbord was SO scrumptious and restaurant service A1 in quality of food, table service and friendliness. I thoroughly recomment Miss Maud Swedish Hotel for value for money and delightful 'old world' feeling in a beautifully refurbished small hotel - small being another of its great assets. Probably arriving at 10pm I was a little confused using the quaint lift - which is part of the charm - as I didn't shut the outer door properly and it wouldn't work. I therefore hefted my case up two flights - also hard to find second storey stairs at first and finding my room. I think more explicit ditrections for first time visitors would be appreciated. Thereafter, desk staff were most helpful - booking taxis etc.

This is the cleanest hotel I've visited, and I usually stay at 4star hotels. The staff were sincerely pleasant and highly professional. We loved the breakfast buffet.

Comfortable and quiet. Rooms very clean but quite small Very good smorgasboard breakfast included in the room rate. Handy central location to city mall shops and short bus ride to king park.

More "pesonable" feel and service. Not as "false" as some of the more upmarket luxury hotels Small size of lift and number of stairs made arrival and departure with large suitcases difficult

Location, friendly staff, comfortable well appointed and clean room. It leaves all other hotels in Perth that we have experienced for dead. Would certainly stay again. Price a little high compared to many other cities we have stayed in in Australia and OS, but compared to other Perth hotels for similar level was OK.

To be honest, I stayed here for the food. It was incredible! We opted for the dinner and we're so glad we did. The breakfast was the best buffet breakfast I've had in any country. The room itself was way better than I expected - a pleasant surprise. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helped me embarrass my wife for her birthday and the light entertainment was first class. Overall - a very pleasant surprise. Will definitely return! Would have been nice if someone showed me the way to my room. I got lost. Really my own fault though.

Arrogant staff - no idea of what to be polite means ( no idea of hello, thanks, good morning.... ) there so proud of this ridiculous place .If you want to sleep ( what you expect fo an hotel ) you have a room without window, of you have a room on the street and to bad. Stairs everywhere, so lot of luggage, desabled, or tired find another place. On top of everything they arre dress like perhaps it was 200 years ago in Sweden - sorry for the image that these people give to sweden and europe in general. There is more place to stay in Perth than to stay there

I love staying at Miss Mauds as the staff are freeindly, the buffet breakfast is excellent and the rooms are always clean. The location is walking distance from the malls and there are cat buses close by. Parking-you can park across the road but it will cost extra SOme of the rooms are small No family sized rooms for families of greater than 4

The hotel had old fashioned charm, without being 'stuffy', and had all the modern facilities a guest could want. The complimentary smorgasbord breakfast was wonderful, and really value-added to my stay. Dinner was also great!

We loved the location, being in the heart of the city. Mostly though we booked because of the smorgasbord breakfast reputation. Although we hadn't planned it,we also had the dinner smorgasbord. We were not disappointed because they were both excellent. In fact we intend to make a further booking to celebrate our anniversary this coming March. The only thing I can think of is that the shower heads were not water efficient. In a city where the low dam levels are always a talking point, we would have thought that better shower heads would have been appropriate
