The English girl at the backpackers reception is not FRIENDLY AT ALL

Not as described by Booking.com clearly we were aware we booking budget accommodation we did not expect it to be a mess. Having driven over 300 Km we were looking for to a dip in the pool. The pool was disgusting with items of clothing and 2 towels at the bottom of the pool. The TV was useless the reception staff were trying to close up but did offer us another room but again the TV was useless. Perhaps Booking.com would like to consider compensation as this was not as described. Having made numerous bookings before we felt let down and we were glad to leave. No aircon,mozzies come through open window which had 2b left open cause it was sooo hot.but all good.!!

The cleanliness of the rooms comparing to the place atmosphere was very good. It's not noisy despite the amount of young people staying in the place.

No mosquitoes net. The price is sooo high for what the provide. I had a booking for two rooms and had a confirmation from booking.com but somehow it was screwed and the hotel didn't offer us any replacement at all! We stayed in one room instead of 2 and had to pay the same!

Good environment for young people/backpackers. Pool. Free BBQ. Free breakfast. Close to the main strip in Mooloolaba. Overall, I'd stay there again.

The doors shutting throughout the night as people came and went were quite loud, almost slamming each time. Almost need another fan in the room to cool it down. Need a fly screen on the window.

Cigarette butts, bottles, general filth of the pool area, tables and chairs, busted chairs, noisy slamming doors at all hours of the morning and night.

The staff were friendly

I froze in the bed as there was a thin blanket and no heating. I was also unimpressed bu the large window that looked onto an apartment block that didn't have a curtain.

Cool attitude, but then the weather was cold but then it was good that I could get another blanket

In the block with 306.? All night both nights a 24/7 noise like air con or water running or machinery running...pump? ...of course this noise gets 'hidden' by day-time noises. traffic etc: This noise is right through the block/building and not just the room Also room 306? The handbasin cold water tap is jammed really tight...doesn't worry me, but some young bloke might break it by trying to force it

Waking up on a cold morning to be greeted with no hot water for a shower , only the most important thing of the room apart from the bed , should be a refund .
