Location and hostess, also mulberries.
Lovely cottage. Close to town centre. Valley outlook.
Free WiFi worked, but only close to the main building. Could be expensive to implement improvements, but would be nice to have it in the Valley Cottage. Still a nice stay in all regards.
Very comfortable. Private. Quite. Close to town. Very helpfull host. Clean.Washing machine in cottage.
Would be great to have an exhaust fan above shower.
No heating in the room. Very fussy almost cluttered with objects everywhere. Opened half full milk container which was out of date the next day when we were leaving.
The apartment consists of 3 rooms, 2 of them connected. The connected room has 2 double beds and 1 single bed. The separate villa has 2 double beds and 1 single bed. For this reason, our group of 8 adults, plus 1 baby 1 kid who would share mom's bed) booked all the rooms. Turned out the owner said each room allowed only 2 adults, total 6. Baby and the small kid is not welcome, with extra charge each. The additional 2 adults who have their own bed was said to be extra, needed to pay $50 extra per day per head. Unreasonable and unexpected cost made the booking fee rose up 40% without any prior notice. Just said you violated her rules and charged you extra. We ended up need to call the police to remediate and the police said the owner was unreasonable and unfair but he couldn't do anything as it was more a civil matter. Plus, owner is a racist, who discriminated Asian people! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! Blacklisted for sure!
Homely atmosphere, very comfortable rooms. Our hostess was very welcoming yet we felt a high degree of independence.
Well positioned accommodation which provided an historic and interesting insight into the local district's past. The owner was very attentive and went well beyond to make sure our stay had everything we wanted. We had our own special historic tour of the Old Cottage which was fascinating.
Nothing comes to mind.
Lovely garden, cute cottage, homely feeling.
Too shorter stay
Reading the history of the original cottage in the same grounds as the current accommodation. Glass of red wine when we had settled in. The charming décor and having our own sitting area.
Welcoming host, comfortable facilities, in a beautiful setting and very nice town. Directed to a lovely venue for the evening meal.
The Sitting Room off the bedroom was a great idea and very relaxing
Tiles in the Sitting Room instead of carpet
Need to resolve exterior path light switch, kitchen too small no stove, heater in bathroom not working distance to cottage from car too great.
Christmas cottage theme was a bit overdone.
Miriam the Hostess to the Mulberry Cottages was a absolute pleasure. The breakfast conversation along with the continental brekkie was great! The room was very quaint and beautifully represented a nostalgic feel.Thank you.
The mini bar fridge didn't appear to be working too well.
Quaint and quirky with homely feel.
Location was very good
Too much emphasis is placed on the quirky and not enough attention to cleanliness. At the end of the day you just need a clean, comfortable bed for the night. The room was too cluttered and short on space and although breakfast was OK it could have been better. Not our best stopover.
The history of the cottage was fascinating, the room very comfortable, the hostess charming.
Great position. Richmond is a good place to stay. Nice little cottage.
Kitchenette was poorly designed. Some organisation / information was not clear.
no sound proof facilities and i could hear what the people talking from the other room, and they could hear us, too
The house cat.
No air con' of fan to circulate the air in the room. Pillows were cheap, old and smelly.Fan and light in bathroom didn't work. A sign on it indicated it had been like this for a long time with no immediate plans to fix it. Walls and ceilings need to be thoroughly washed down and cleaned. Curtains need to be taken out and washed and adjusted to the right length.
Very quaint place. All the things you need (including a washing machine and pegs). Great location within walking distance of town.
Breakfast was average for the amount you pay for it.
The mirror on the ceiling !!
All the reminder notes..on how to do things.
