shower needed a good clean
Very convenient location. Very friendly owner. Main bed was very comfortable and the high ceilings lend to a sense of space. Bathroom was an odd configuration, but clean enough.
Second fold-away bed was a bit ordinary, and made the second room a bit cramped when in use. Lack of wall hangings or features makes the room a bit stark. Budget furnishings.
I liked the whole place
Stairs with baggage
Staff, helpful. Clean and comfortable, great location. Very good value for money.
Nothing not to like, for the modest tariff exceeded my expectation
Location to the hospital. Access to food outlet at the accommodation Staff very helpful and accommodating. Food in restaurant nice.
The VERY SMELLY BATHROOM. The noisy pedestrian lights outside the window.
convenient location very clean (recently renovated) good size of the room, bed, and bath pub with good selection of beers and ales;-) friendly staff
Staff were fantastic, stayed back for us to check in after several flight delays; great bed, windows opened, comfortable room, cafe and 7-11 just downstairs
traffic a bit noisy
Value for money, comfortable bed, great shower.
Noise of traffic. TV remote didn't work.
Position -close to Melb. University where i was visiting. Restaurant at hotel. Quiet back room comfortable. clean & bright. All good!
Staff only at check-in. Would have liked help with bag carry up stairs.
Location, friendly staff
Cleanliness of room e.g. dust on window sills, chair rungs etc.
The convenience of the 7/11,cafe,and trams just outside. The hotel is nicely rennovated, the rooms are light. open and modern. The beds are very comfortable and clean. The provision of water bottles, biscuits and beverage supplies each day was great. Plus fresh towels and sheets when needed. Thanks so much we had a great week.
Just one thing our floor wasn't vaccumed when we arrived and with the stayover cleans our benches and vanities could had been wiped down.
The food was great, the staff were friendly and the room was clean.
It was a little noise, but that is to be expected considering the location.
Convenient to University
Needed a good dust and vacuum
no place to park /too noisy /no blinds on window to stop light /windows should be doubled glazed to stop noise /no shops close by on sunday/
The restaurant food and service was very good, proximity to Melbourne uni and easy tram ride from CBD. Would stay again.
No hair dryer but was able to access one.
Location, cleanliness, bar downstairs, great value.
No one on reception in the morning, no hair dryer in room but was given one when requested.
Very brief stay, but an all round good experience. Would definitely stay again. As someone else mentioned - the pillows were 'choice bro'.
The two roomed suite with heating in both rooms were great. I was disappointed there was no plug for the bath and no hairdryer but was still a very good room
Very friendly and accommodating staff, room was huge, clean and comfortable with lots of natural light, big bathroom was clean and handy with a shower stand in a big clean bathtub, reverse cycle air conditioner and a comfortable bed with a very warm quilt.
Ever so slightly noisy in the particular room I stayed in but happily the music died off after 10.30pm. Also I could hear the aricond units outside my window come on and off but it didn't bother me (could bother some light sleepers potentially though).
Clean room with comfortable bedding. Open all hours convenience store right next door. Towels, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner provided, but no toothbrush/toothpaste. Instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, water heater and bottled water were also available for free. Very close to trams, Melbourne University (about 10 minutes by walk), hospitals etc. Major train stations (Melbourne Central, Southern Cross etc.) were easily accessible by tram. The Melbourne Zoo is only a few tram stops away. The staff, when I did run into them, were very friendly. In addition, we requested and were allowed to check-in earlier than usual. We really appreciated this after the rather long flight into Melbourne.
More and more accessible plug points, especially near the writing table would be great. Also, the cable of the water heater was not long enough to reach the plug point. So, I ended up having to use the water heater in the bath room! Would be nice to be able to open the windows at least occasionally. As I was on business, I left my room rather early and returned quite late almost every day. Although it was not such a big deal, it would have been nice to have staff available on the premises early and/or late. To be fair, I was provided with details to contact if I needed anything but didn't feel like calling for what I felt like were minor issues. I should note that there is a restaurant in the premises and the staff there were helpful but the restaurant closed late in the evening.
Very clean and comfortable.
Traffic noise was a little more than I was used to, but not a major problem.
Had one of the best night sleeps. Spot was great,
The bathroom wasn't really clean in our room... There was hair everywhere.
Airy, light-filled rooms. Lovely windows. Old, character-filled building but in very good condition. Good walks nearby. The pub downstairs was good - nice restaurant.
Cramped bathroom (but okay). I was in a double apartment, but the bathroom is only directly accessible from one room (i.e. you have to walk through one bedroom to get to it).
welcoming and friendly staff,we did a week day deal which was very reasonable priced ,so much so we stayed another 2 days. we had our own key and seperate entrance from the hotel and we were short walk to hospital where our daughter was having a baby.A great find and we have already told friends about it.
