This 5-star resort is on the secluded beachfront of Four Mile Beach, close to Alexandra Reefs. It features a large lagoon pool with a bar, an 18-hole golf course, fitness center and a hot tub.

Score from 25 reviews Very good
We loved chilling out in our villa - a real oasis. Then we could easily foray out to the beach, beaut restaurants in Port Douglas or further afield.
Plunge Pool, layout of the villa, General surroundings and garden, comfort of beds. Staff very helpful and accomodating
Kitchen could have been better equipped, but we managed.
The space, privacy and furnishings in the apartment are fantastic. Perfect for a romantic weekend away
The only addition that would be nice would be to have a daily clean of the villas included in the price.
Enjoyed the Yoga classes held in the outdoors and recommend the Life Balancing session with Carla. Lovely people and very helpful.
Broken glass in the pool from a last guests, had to move villas Power problems in the next Villa, had sparky there for several hours. Room cleaning isn't included for a long weekend stay. Morning light streams into bedroom, no sleep in!!
Plunge pool, plenty of space, quiet, clean.
Kitchen could do with an upgrade, it's starting to show it's age. That's the only thing I could think of.
Your own plunge pool was excellent
Niramaya was located a bit too far from town
The location, it was peaceful, tranquil. Staff were friendly, the villa was beyond our expectation. We could not BUT unwind..Clean, spacious, luxurious and to have your own warm plunge pool was a treat! A place to stay if you are going to treat yourself indeed. Great location, close to town but not too close to the noise of the road.
The only downfall for us was the bed. Not to say it was awful, its just a mattress on slats felt too hard, more like a futon and the pillows were not so great either..
Villa was in excellent condition. Kitchen facilities and implements where excellent. Very quiet and relaxing.
Garden and pool a bit ordinary. Mouldy walls and pool area require attention. No other toilets other than in ensuite. Garden cluttered around pool fence entrance.
Separate buildings for main bedroom suite, two other bedrooms and kitchen/sitting room. Plunge pool. Garden. Main pool. Estate gardens. Helpful friendly staff.
Wifi not working for first few days.
We had a four bedroom villa with a plunge pool. V good quality accommodation and wifi in the villa. The restaurant is really good for lunch and dinner. 2 master beds and two smaller beds so perfect for two families. Worth paying extra for daily maid service
The last day the wifi didn't work but maintenance didn't deal with it. You can't walk to town but there is a shuttle and taxis
We loved everything except the bed ! The villas are beautifully appointed ,the surrounds are gorgeous and staff very friendly and helpful . A little bit of paradise !
The bed was too low ,mattress not good enough for such luxurious acc. and the wooden base around it dangerous.....prob because we are mature aged people we noticed it more !!
WiFi not working .
Villas are great
Self catering not cool
Our Niramaya Villa was fantastic - the website photos looked great, however we were in absolute awe once we arrived and the friendly receptionist showed us around. Our kids had a great time in the pool (heated to 28 degrees) and allowed us time to relax in comfort on the day bed. With only a 5 minute drive to the centre of Port Douglas, location was ideal - I would recommend dining at Rasa as food exceptional!
Wifi needs to be improved...no other gripes at all!
That place is almost heaven on earth. Me and my husband and our daughter stayed in the villa 18 for three days and we enjoyed the stay very very much. The villas are absolutely stunning, they are very comfortable and the pool area in the villa is really good. Pool water heats up so it was very nice to swim in the warm water during pretty cold winter days. Also the restaurant in there is very delicious, this is truly the place of your dreams. Shame on us we didn't go to the Spa, but I'm sure it is amazing because just looking at the facility makes you sure that it will be wonderful. I have to say even we only stayed there for 4 days it was still amazing and i wouldn't recommend it for 3night stay, but i definitely recommend it from 1week+ stay.
Even it is paradise in Port Douglas there were things that weren't that nice. Housekeeping wasn't great, all the dishes in the villa were dirty and if we needed to eat or drink we had to clean them ourselves and the BBQ wasn't clean so we had to clean it ourselves, once more again. Also housekeeping is once in 3 day, well I mean we had a big villa and half of it is on open air: no walls, I think it should be cleaned at least once in 2 days. Technology was quiet poor, the tv was very old,in description it said that it is going to be a flat screen-not at all. And the speakers were rubbish, they were making weird sounds so we had to turn them off. The water feature in the pool kept me awake at night couldn't find a switch anywhere to turn if off. Waitress in the Rasa restaurant was quiet weird, she was making very weird faces if we weren't sure what to get or those kinda stuff, that really confused us and made us feel uncomfortable, but the dishes were amazing and other stuff was great!
The resort was fantastic. The main pool was magnificent. Our villa was very comfortable and it was great to have our own pool. the L'Occitane toiletries were great and the staff was always extremely helpful. the gardens at the resort made you feel like you were in paradise. Very well maintained.
Needed more TV's in the rooms - only one main TV. Wifi connectivity needed to be better. With the day spa it didn't offer a full service - all I wanted was a pedicure and manicure and they didn't offer that.
TV old. Safe not working. Fridge freezer not working and leaking. Pots, crockery, cutlery in kitchen very poor
Layout and privacy of the villa. Good open plan and spacious environment. Great swimming pool. Bali without the smell, long plane ride or being hassled as you work out the door.
Needs some TLC on the paintwork and some of the plumbing eg taps. Needs upgrading of some of the basic infrastructure eg WiFi and stereo system.
Everything! The privacy, serenity, amenities
We loved our stay at Niramaya. Complete privacy for us to relax. Relaxing by your own plunge pool was bliss. Looking forward to staying again.
That I had to leave!
The space of villa great , the outlook, the pool , staff helpful , food great.
Think Villa should be serviced daily, also great disparity between room sizes , fine for family but not really fair for friends.
The individual villas with their own pool was fantastic. We loved the security and quietness of the place except for the last night. The calibre of the fittings and set up was exceptional.
Because of heavy rain and the stagnant pond near the villa the Mosquitos were terrible in the early evening meaning we couldn't do much after dark outside. On our last night there was a rowdy group of young people who had arrived at the villa next to us.
The villa was spacious & private with quality fittings. The high ceilings & bi-fold doors allowed light & ventilation. The villa totally exceeded our expectations.
There wasn't much of a 'vibe' around the pool/restaurant area.
The privacy of the villa was great. Felt like we were away and had our own place
The property is gorgeous and the accommodation is designed in such a unique way. Amazing to have the Villa all to yourself.
The location of the property is not ideal. And the transport to downtown isn't good. Waiting for the shuttle at the end of the street not knowing when it is coming isn't great. If Niramaya had its own transport it would be better. Also they need phones in the villas. We had no phone. My wife is pregnant and the fact we didn't have an international plan on our cells was a bit concerning, when we found out we had no phone in the villa.
