Proximity to North Sydney railway station and Milson's Point harbour ferry. The hotel is located directly over the main north shore railway, near North Sydney station. If you have a room on the lower floors it is quite noisy at times as trains from Sydney pass under the building.

I found your hotel very relaxing with a great veiw of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Also very easy to find, great staff. I also like the free Shoe shine, very classy. Where my room was located, Room 207, I heard the lifts going up and down alot so was a bit hard to get to sleep some times.

I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff , the location, the service and the comfort of this hotel. The view from my hotel window was breathtaking. My personal rating (also of my sister) is above excellent and I would recommend this spot to any one considering a stay. Transportation services are perfect even if you are a visitor from overseas. Train station is right there, along with bus service and a short train trip (one stop) to Milson's Point with a short walk to Luna Park gets you to the ferry service. The ferry service from there and Circular Quay is above board and a great way to see the beautiful harbour from all directions. (I am an Australian living in Canada and recommend a visit to Sydney with a stay at the North Sydney Harbourview). My one complaint is that the cost of $29.00 for breakfast is way too expensive. In fact all the breakfast prices are very overpriced. I noticed so much waste the day before I left when we stopped for a tea and toast for $15.00.

Location to the city and close to the rail station. Views grand. The sound of the trains on the track and the tooting of them as they approach the station going thorough our room all day and night.I have travelled the world and this is the noisest hotel I have ever stayed in.

As always the views over Sydney harbour ,the bridge and city are spectacular. The staff are always polite and helpfull and only a few minutes on the train to the city. I think their room service prices are too expensive.

Convenient, food was good, value for money and staff most obliging and very friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel. The tv facilities could do with an upgrade and more Foxtel Channels would be a good start. I had an end room and this was good but the bathroom is a little cramped. Where there is a combined bath shower arrangement a rubber safety mat should be supplied to ensure that guests do not slip over when taking a shower.

the view was wonderful and the hotel well designed to maximise the view Location was great I accidentally booked a twin room in a hurry on line - the photos of the room made one of the beds near the window look larger so I thought it was a room with a single and double or some such and grabbed it. As a couple we were disappointed and more so because not only were there no other rooms available, attitude of the staff was sort of "bad luck Bozo". If I had been on reception I would have organised for staff to push the beds together and remake them while we were out at dinner and I would have at least made an attempt to rearrange my facial muscles so as to give the impression of caring a jot. We were in Sydney for both business and pleasure, it being my partners birthday following an afternoon conference event. We pushed the beds together. It wouldn't have taken much effort -

My visit at North Sydney Harborview Hotel was an amazing experience for both myself and my partner and I would like to commend all staff on the 4th and 5th of February. The hotel staff showed excellent attention to detail, customer service, and the hotel was great value for money. Both my partner and I will highly recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying or staying in the Sydney region.

The location, the friendly staff, fox sports, comfortable rooms. $13 an hour for internet is a bit much, especially in this day and age.

We travel up to Sydney from Wollongong about 6 - 8 times a year , usually to attend a show or dinner. Mostly stay Friday / Sat . We stayed at HV on New Years Eve as a special event and were impressed by the friendly helpful staff , hosptality and of course the view. We used to stay at Darling Harbour but now find the somewhat less crowded HV precinct and proximity to the ferry much more relaxing. The price advantage vs Darling Harbour is also an influencing factor. Cheers. One issue -- I have a 4WD with roof rack (needs 2.1m min) and have been told that your car park does not have sufficient clearance to accomodate it. It would be great if we could call on the drive up and reserve an outside park but were told that is not possible ?? it would make things a lot easier as we now have to do a car shuffle at my work and swap cars with my partner which is a pain and does delay our departure.

The location being so close to the railway station and to the city was great. We thought that the railway line being so close might be noisy but were pleasantly surprised as to the lack of noise over the weekend.
