Score from 162 reviews Very good
Rooms, the view and staff very professional and friendly.
Out of date long life milk. No mugs in the room.
Having a balcony. Breakfast was very good
Not enough parking. Room had not been vacuumed after last guests. There was black fluff on the carpet. Makes you wonder what else hadn't been done. The room next door had put their breakfast plates outside their door and they were still there at 6pm.
Location - very peaceful Size of room Comfy bed Spa bath Bathsheets (instead of towels) Balcony with golf course view
Spa was very small and only half the jets worked Shower and spa could do with better cleaning Kitchenette very minimally equiped - tiny tea cups Only sports channels TV remote terrible
The staff were lovely. Had an amazing sleep! Plenty of room. Pool, spa and gym were great!! And buffet breakfast is always amazing :)
Location was beautiful, over looking the Golf Course.
Behind the lace curtains was dirt and spider's nests and lots of dead flies. I mean filthy. The carpet had long black hairs on it and balls of hair which looked like they came off the head of the vacuum-cleaner. We had 2 x hands towels and 2 x bath towels for 4 people, so we had get towels from the swimming pool.
Bed was comfortable
'Spa bath' was a little half bath with spa jets - extremely disappointing. Very poor sound insulation - we could clearly hear and understand people talking as we walked passed their doors. Our room, and I suspect most rooms, had a door joining to the adjacent room, which in actuality meant we could hear everything that was occurring in our neighbours' bathroom. No instructions on how to use TV remotes. 1.5% surcharge for credit cards. Toilet gets wet when shower is used.
Good location to both Ballarat , Daylesford, Hepburn. Great faculties at the resort. Great meal in the Restuarant also enjoyed. Great II be back for sure. :)
Having to leave to go home after a 2 day stay :(
Overall i am not happy with the stay in the hotel.
Changing the room without informing us
Great little hide away resort! Excellent value and great staff,
Downstairs restaurant didn't have a great atmosphere, and a very strict me u with 4 or so choices where as head upstairs and have range of options and half the price. Plus served by same staff and on the same furniture as the down stairs
Staff friendly. Good breakfast. Bar prices of drink and food good.
We had a King double room. Would liked to have had more clothes hangers. Only one suitcase stand needed two. Would liked to have had some drawer space. We lived out of our suitcase. Furniture was there but drawers too small.
The size of the room was very comfortable and the small sink provided next to the kettle is very convenient. The room is cleverly designed (eg. extra soft lights on the ceiling, sink, bigger beds), basically a better version of many standard hotel suites.
The cushions on the beds were not very clean (found some stains)
Noisy in corridors and near pool area . Not helped by having been there on same weekend as a young basketball team. Not provided with adjoining rooms as requested. No staff able to be found in lounge area when we went there for a drink.
food is excellent, Staff is very very friendly, location is fantastic, one of the best holidays that I have ever had.
Nothing that sort of worth writing
breakfast selection and how well everything was always kept topped up Bed in the room we had was very comfy.
parking availability sink in the bathroom far too shallow
Great staff and resort
Very relaxing and comfortable hotel. Friendly helpful staff
There was some hair in the room from a previous guest but that is the only complaint I've had and I've stayed there twice
Golf course looked good but was not available to play on due to a bike race (??) - no signage or pre-warning about this.
Breakfast was pretty disappointing, especially for the price - scrambled and poached eggs very unappealing. Muffins looked undercooked. Very sterile atmosphere - can tell it's a conference centre.
The room was spacious, more than enough room for two friends to stay without tripping over each other or being too close. The room had a lovely view over the golf course, which we walked around one afternoon. The food from the ground floor eatery was lovely as was the in-room dining service. The check-in/reception staff were informative and helpful.
We stayed in an Executive King room. I thought the room was a little grubby in spots - dust behind the television, grubby marks on the cushions on the bed, a few marks on the walls. We had problems watching movies through the television, it kept freezing, we had to call reception numerous times who gave us a work around but it was distracting. The charge was removed from our final bill which was generous and probably appropriate given the service wasn't perfect. Given there was a continuing problem with the television and we were told to turn it off at the powerpoint it was continually noticable how dusty it was behind the tv. The breakfast could have more variety - mushrooms, spinach. The bircher museli looked a little old, and some yoghurt in small tubs would be a nice touch. The fruit bowl was a great idea as was the newspaper to read over breakfast.
The rooms , we were next door to a young family and was kept wake by a crying baby , the food on the easter Friday was very poor and dear
Loved the bed, very soft. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
My husband was disappointed with the pillows. The taps over the basin were awkward but that is just been picky really!!!
Everything was perfect except for a couple of things (see below).
My mobile phone had absolutely no reception or connectivity the whole time we were in or near the hotel. Also, very disappointed to see that the t.v's hotel information channel described a Kids Club, including what it contained such as air hockey - then enquired at reception as to where this facility was located, only to be told it doesn't exist!! What the??
Great staff at reception and restaurant. Location and scenery. Would love to come again! Thank you all.
Strange stagnant water smell in the room. But we got used to it after cleaner was poured down plug holes.
The pool wasn't as impressive as on the web site Spa was crowded with families
No competition in the district so it has to get guests .
Staff poorly trained . Big delay on checking in - I was told they had not received my reservation you supposedly sent to them . Who was correct ?
