Our apartment was spacious and clean. We are middle aged, and were travelling without children, so we asked for a room away from the pool side, which we were given and was a very satisfactory location - quiet and a good outlook. There seem to be only three, or possibly 4 such rooms in the Complex - all others overlook the pool, which is great for many families but a little rowdy for us. The kitchen facilities were good and the large balcony overlooking the river was appealing.
We didn't realise that Tea Gardens was quite so "sleepy" - great for fishing and doing very little, but we found not much choice in good quality restaurants (or even good quality take-away fish and chips, for the prices charged), although this is not the fault of Boathouse Resort. The bed was not good quality, and we ended up with quite painful backs as a result. Even a medium quality bed (better still, a king sized one) would have made an enourmous difference to our overall enjoyment of what was otherwise not-bad accommodation, and might be expected for the rate paid. Smoking is allowed on balconies, and the residents below us made full use of this, making it rather unpleasant for us above when they did.
Inability to have fresh air into main bedroom in evening. The screen doors did not have locks.
Loved the pool and the location of the Boat House site.
Close to everything, nice outlook, peace and quiet, swimming pool, excellent facilities.
Rear entrance to units was a labyrinth.
It was very comfortable,we were there to relax and we did. The staff were friendly and gave us some local knowledge about places to visit. I would certainly stay there again
If I had to say a negative it would be that the mattress was a little too hard for my liking
Beds were comfortable Kitchen had all equipment Easy to walk to facilities Not far from home Catching the Ferry to Nelsons Bay was nice
A barbeque on the balcony - this would have been a nice touch There is one on the grounds with a large table
The Boathouse was a well maintained and managed resort with friendly and courteous staff. The apartment was comfortable and clean. The site of the resort is almost perfect and the village is quaint.
Sound resounding within the structure. House keeping staff very noisy both in their work but also in their communicating with each other in the morning.
It is very quiet and the pool side rooms are good off season.
Pool side rooms can be very noisy when children are there, better to use upper levels.
LOVED THE POOL, LOCATION, LAYOUT OF THE UNIT
The location and size of the unit.
The quality and quantity of the washing up & dishwashing liquid n powder and lack of hot water to wash up in. Don't feel dishes were clean on arrived. Disappointed!.
A great place with great facilities and had a great stay
The place was quite comfortable, clean and in a nice quiet area.
Spacious, modern, great facilities. Our kids were so excited about the place - couldn't beleive we were only staying one night!
Quiet, nice space, large spa and a clean place. Plenty space for four and right at the waterfront. A short walk to shops. Got a free bar of Australian handmade soap as gift.
Not much info provided @ the counter for lot things only one word you hear from them don"t know,
Handy location, quite and enjoyed ferry ride across to Nelsons Bay.
On checking in, staff we're not all that friendly.
Room quality and space.
The water pressure was very low. The spa bath was am ambitious option as it would have taken hours to fill. A shower was more frustration than comfort.
Living area was very spacious and comfortable. Main bedroom and ensuite very modern with extensive number modern of features. Loved the spa bath. Excellent location with wonderful view of the river.
Beds in spare bedroom were a bit small. Seemed smaller than a normal single bed Glasses in kitchen had water stains, but this was only minor.
Except for the main Bed room en suite, There was nothing we did not like
My wife and I are both elderly (88 and 89) and had to be very careful not to fall in the shower. There were no handlebars to hold onto, which is a must for older people where balancing oneself is a problem.
I was shock by a sign that we have to dispose of rubbish and no house keeping. We only had one towel each for 3days.
Everything!!! The staff were helpful and friendly. The unit was comfortable and had everything you could possibly want for a short stay. Location was beautiful. It was so good that friends came to visit us and went home and booked a unit for themselves over the Christmas period.
Nothing - would highly recommend the Boathouse Resort to others.
Fantastic location. We had the front apartment and had a fantastic view overlooking the river. The apartment was very spacious and had everything you could possibly need.
Unfortunately we could not get the dishwasher to work.
The place was very well appointed, lovely view from our room, peaceful surroundings, nice community and shops. Great area for cycling and beautiful beaches. The pool at boat house is top class. Will return
Our apartment, 210, was very spacious with a magnificent view over the Myall River and the pool area was magnificent. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the beach area at the end of the pool.
The town of Tea Gardens was very quiet while we were there and there were limited eating out places, especially early in the week.
Comfortable and spacious unit. Comfortable bed. Good location in beautiful area.
Our room had no view so the great location opposite the waterway was not able to be appreciated. Limited cooking equipment.
