Location was excellent loved the view
Asked if pool would be working 2 months before trip it wasn't they said it would ,charged extra 90.00 for parking ??wasnt informed of this charge and it was hard to find a park Wasn't clean
Proximity to trams & trains Proximity to Athletics Stadium Full Kitchen Modern and clean Décor Bluray player in the room Proximity to Rundle Mall
Sewerage smells at night from the bathroom Light and fan switch outside the bathroom door instead of inside No instructions for dishwasher and oven - oven still did not work even after telephone instructions from Concierge Smokers on adjacent balcony so close that it shared a common rail Noisy guests at 0230am every morning, raising their voices in the corridor just outside our suite
Gym is currently being refurbished but able to use other facility 2 doors down. Coffee Club downstairs for breakfast.
Shower is a bit old.
Pool and gym facilities not available
bed hadnt been changed, hair in the bed and makeup on the pillow
Sent us back; told us we can't check in but then did without us trying to change his mind.
Having some space. We stayed for 4 days.
Cost of parking
Having a disabled wife we found shower good size ,shower head on flexible lead excellant.Being fully selfcontained, washing machine included excellant. generally very good accomodation
Shower & toilet would be improved with handrails especially as there are more disabled & ageing tourists now.
As a solo business traveller I prefer to self cater, so having a full kitchen was ideal. There are various small supermarkets nearby, or restaurants if you feel like takeaway. The balcony means you can get some fresh air too, which is lacking in some grand hotels. Great shower with good water pressure and temperature, and a very comfy bed.
A few minor suggestions for improvement: The gym/pool was still undergoing renovation when I visited in November 2014; it would have been helpful to disclose this to prospective visitors as a swim/sauna is always welcome. The option of going outside and next door to use their facilities was not attractive. Like many hotels, Oaks Embassy charges for internet access and the free Wi-Fi provided by Adelaide City was not accessible (blocked?). I've stayed in 2 star hotels that provide free Wi-Fi (granted, it's not high speed broadband, but who needs that when you're doing emails or surfing the internet?) My room key card became deactivated apparently because it was too close to credit cards and mobile phone. One's bag/wallet are the obvious places to keep a key safe, so prior warning of this sensitivity would be good.
area, kitchen, balcony.
cleaners did not come one day asked for towels to shower, they also did not take a whole bag off rubbish we had in kitchen just left note for us to throw away. one of the staff members in front desk was very rude first impression when checked in and spoke to him was disappointed
Size of the room was plenty for 3 adult women & everything was within walking distance
Pool was closed
Nice comfortable beds
Gym was under construction while I was there. Likely will be great once construction finished.
I liked the location. I liked booking.com for their assistance and professionalism
I didn't like that when I booked I booked this venue due to a pool facility. Website stated under renovation but due to be complete prior to my booking. On arrival no pool and no contact advising. Bathroom had so much mould the duty manager had to come scrub clean. Floor dirty. Bedside table handle broken. Unable to lock room from inside, not acceptable with children inside.
Great place to stay conventiant walking distance to shopping district or train and tram stops and great staff also
The pool, spa and sauna were all under reconstruction so we didn't get a chance to use these facilities
The modernness of the room
The tv didn't work When I booked the room was completely different
Everything, nothing to fault.
Water not hot enough in shower.
The size, layout of the apartment and the facilities included were good for long haul travellers The staff were very helpful
WiFi: The 30 minutes free allocation and any purchase blocks had to be used without any break so access was inconvenient. Instruction guides. Ther were no notes on how to uses the equipment in the apartment
Have been a regular visitor here, and was "rewarded" on this trip with the worst room I've ever stayed in on a business trip - 508 facing a brick wall. I might as well have stayed in a basement. No natural light to speak of, room was muggy unless air was on. Doesn't seem like much of a way to treat a regular customer!
Location. Staff very helpful. Easy walk to shops. restaurants and across from beautiful parklands alongside the river.
We came here for a seminar at the convention centre across the road. Was really impressed for what we paid, great, clean rooms.
We had a group of 21 people staying with us and everyone in the group said the accommodation was fantastic. Thanks again, will definitely come back.
I liked the comfy bed!
The room and hallways on my level smelt like they had been a smoking floor.
The new Coffee Club in the bottom of the hotel is excellent. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy.
The pots and pans provided are all a bit too small. Makes it hard to prepare an actual meal. Bathrooms are getting a bit worn with broken tiles etc. Decor like throw cushions etc is dated.
The location is awesome! Worked well for access to transport, the market and reataurants
Kitchen supples could be upgraded (pans)
