Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments Darling Harbour

Amazing hotel stay at a budget price. The best part is you can travel light as they have a washer and dryer for free in your bathroom. So you can wash and dry (100%) your clothes everyday and wear fresh clothes the next day. Also I arrived at 7am in the morning during check-in and they are supposed to checkin only at 2pm. But they offered me a change room where I could take bath and take a city tour after leaving my bags in the hotel. It was amazing to stay at Oaks!

Internet is expensive when compared to us. But if you compare all other hotels in Sydney, internet is same cost.

Staff were bitchy, indifferent and not helpful. There was a posse of smokers outside the door which was intimidating and grotty. Will never return

Great location, easy access to Darling Harbour, Monorail etc. Fairly good faclilities, amenities...friendly staff

Check out was a night mare..10 a.m rush and not enough staff to cope. Would recommend that the lifts are looked at..not enough to cope with the traffic flow

It was very close to the Convention Center.

Noisy. I woke up whenever a loud car or motorcycle went by on the street below.

Close to transport. Luggage held securely following check-out if required.

I couldn't fault it. My second stay and would book again if I return to Sydney in the future.

Location was probably the best thing about the hotel

Not really, the standard of cleanliness was very poor and the decor could do with a spruce up but they are just personal observations.

The location close to convention centre for conference. The price at $130 for 2 for one night. The decor of the room.

The scary walkways up 9 storeys between the rooms. The early pool closing in the evening.. No minibar and no free parking.

Went to see the New Moon Premiere at George Street Cinemas

Very dissapointed that the hotel could not find our booking. Luckily they upgraded us and apologised.

Roomy apartment so close to the city

It is stsrting to age and the TV was not digital.

The rooms were extremely clean and well looked after and beds were very comfortable.

Was not impressed by the staff that were on the desk when we arrived and that there was no lift and only steps up to the entrance (My Mum had bad legs and this was difficult for her) The steps that needed to use to get to darling habour were also a pain for her, but not sure we could have found this out before.

Coinvenient location for Powerhouse Museum; Darling Harbour visitor attractions; Sydney Convention Centre. Very pleasant 20 metres length swimming pool open extended hours 06 00 hrs - 24 00 hrs, very convenient for guests. Reception staff friendly and helpful but at times visibly under pressure and over-worked.

Rear-facing rooms on lower floors are very dark, gloomy and depressing ! Combination of outlook on to a blank brick wall of adjacent building allowing little natural daylight and low output light bulbs. No problems with rooms on floors 9 - 12 which are at a higher level than the adjacent building. For rooms on floors 3 - 8 I would recommend increase internal lighting to quality to "brighten up" the rooms both physically and psychologically. (I made this point to reception staff during my stay and, although heavily booked, they managed to change room to a better lit 9th. floor room)
