easy to access and central location
only minor but shower put volumes of water on the floor which needed lots of towels to stop flowing into the next room
quietness of room, complimentary upgrade,...thank you.
no shelf for toiletries in bathroom no magnifier mirror lighting over sink not good for applying make up,, etc a full length or larger mirror would be handy air con seemed to be set on a temp with no adjustment.
Very friendly staff and room was clean and comfortable. Bed was sensational!
We only stayed overnight as we went to the MCG so it was perfect for that. Room was clean and nice. The bathroom although small was clean and shower good. Staff helpful.
Considering we stayed there in August the room got quite stuffy and the A/c struggled. No windows can open so I'd hate to think how hot it would get in summer. The bathroom was weird as it was right next to the bed and had glass walls so didn't offer you much privacy. Plus there was no bench space so getting ready was a struggle. Minor issues.
Comfy bed Great facilities Staff service
TV was small and quality wasn't the best
Staff was very professional, helpful and accommodating. Flawless check-in and check-out process. Great, central location, close to great restaurants, shops and public transport. The room was well-furnished, clean, neat and tidy.
Location was perfect, trams and trains and Krispy cream right there
Bathroom could have been bigger
Value for money Excellent Location Clean, Tidy and a overall nice hotel
The bathrooms were not overly private, would not recommend sharing a room with a friend. Ideal for a couple or single only.
Position, not too far to walk anywhere.
Price was good
Paying for parking under the hotel is poor considering you are already paying to stay there..and its not cheap
The staff were all very helpful & friendly. The room exceeded my expectations & it was great to have a kitchen so I was not limited to just having restaurant meals all week.Overall it was great value for money & I will definitely stay there again.
Nothing really :)
Shower was horrible. It was just like a little trickle runing & only the hot tap was on as soon as the cold tap was put on a mm the water went freezing
Location was great especially having infant and the staff were quite friendly especially the girls at reception.
1. the room was very noisy 2. the light in the bathroom fell out of the ceiling & it took 2 phone calls one in the morning and one in the afternoon before someone came to fix it. 3. room service knocking when we had a baby sleeping even though we didn't order room service 4. the roll away bed was not comfortable in the slightest 5. check out was 10am we got back to the hotel at 10am to collect our bags from our room and the key had already been disabled....
In CBD, close to public transport.
Arriving from Hawaii we needed a place to crash over night before catching a train the next day Therefore the location to Southern Cross Station was excellent
The bed - being 6foot 6 and traveling via Sydney found the ed very small
The location was fantastic - very central to all the places we wanted to go. The meal we had in the restaurant was tasty and good value and the service we received at the front desk was very efficient. A very efficient lift - didn't need to hang around long waiting for the lift to arrive. The room was very quiet especially at night which was great for sleeping.
The room looked quite tired and without a shower hob and only a curtain around the shower area water sprayed all over the bathroom floor. The room was actually quite a bit smaller than it appeared in the website photo with a lot of space taken up with cupboards that contained nothing. Generally did not find this Oaks as good as some of the others I have stayed at.
Didn't like the bathroom...bit small, shower..not much room to move around. No fan to get rid of steam.
bathroom basin to small
Overpriced and decor dull and boring. Breakfast was dreadful. Shabby all round
Foxtel Plenty of space
Toilet right next to bed No windows- room was a black hole Air con didn't work properly
Light fitting falling out of ceiling blinds dirty sink in the bathroom too small towels too small
Walking distance to shops , Southbank , DFO, MCGand cafes. The view from our room was fantastic
Bathroom too small and TV needed to be larger. Also the room was very close to lifts , which were noisy and kept me awake
Location kitchen facilities, lounge area close to transport
bed too close to bathroom no shower recess, water all over the bathroom floor
Close to tram and good location. Room had two double beds which were very comfortable and good cooking facilties.
Bathroom was more like a wet room and quite small, but worked. Lounge small and could only accommodate 2-3 sitting, although I acknowledge table and chairs and double bed also available to lounge on.
room was a good size quiet location clean
staff were really miserable and did not make us feel welcome at all. rather disappointing for such a well known brand.
