Lovely old period heritage house. Manageress was a good cook and breakfast was excellent. Very good selection of travel brochures available. However breakfast time was very limited and time restrictions not to suit tourists.
River views was an euphemism and barely visible. Room was right next to front door which everyone passed and we had to keep the curtains closed-so no view ! No fridge; impossibly small bathroom. Wardrobe did not close properly. No toilet roll etc
We found the manageress to be most helpful & efficient. The room & facilities were fine. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The location was peaceful, convenient for public transport, access to major roads & Hobart, and local shops, restaurants, etc.
Gorgeous 1909 home oozing with period features and comfort. We had a car so the location was great for day trips from Hobart.
The hostess - she was lovely The bed - very comfortable Plenty of parking Included brekky was great The room was huge! VERY clean
The WiFi kept dropping out Some of the TV channels weren't available The spa jets didn't really work.
Very friendly positive host and quite a lovely big breakfast. Our room was a good sized space. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay at Orana.
Perhaps a mini fridge in the room.
We were delighted with our stay at Orana House B&B. We found our hosts warm, friendly and obliging. The room was comfy, clean and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious. We would be happy to stay again on a return visit.
The gardens, style of the house especially the bedroom with window seat and ornate fireplace/mantle. Cooked breakfast in lovely dining room, buffet style. Off street parking, close to town. Electric blanket, heater, fan, tv - all we needed to be comfortable. Our hostess, Lada, was lovely - could not do enough for us, catering to all our requirements.
En suite was very small and cramped. Shower not up to standard of rest of the house - moulded plastic with plastic curtain.
we enjoyed everything best place to stay and wonderful staff so friendly and the breakfasts were excellent would not hesitate to book again if ever in Tassie will tell our friends to stay.
entry light left on and bedroom was very light all night, prefer to sleep in dark room. maybe a little curtain over window above door. other wise, stay was100%
Just about everything
Found the bed and pillow too hard
The room is big The bed is very comfotable The view to the lake is beautiful The Internet works properly Hot water in the shower all day long The breakfast is tasty
The location is 5 minutes drive from hobart. Since most of hobart places closes early (before 10pm) it wasn't an issue. It's a very good location for couples who want to travel at hobart area (we made it our prime location and drove every morning up to 2 hours)
Quite area, friendly host. The room is very nicely decorated, the garden is gorgeous. Hotel is in a suburb, 5 mins drive from city centre. Loved that it's by the bay and very near the supermarket. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Would love to have more choices of food (just me being picky)
Room is slightly small. Was travelling with 2 big luggages so space was limited when we were trying to arrange stuff. Nothing major
Old world charm and courtesy. Great location.
Made to feel very welcome in a beautiful home. Lovely dining room for included full breakfast.
Ensuite was very compact.
Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was awesome :) nice quiet location but still close to the city :)
we rolled in at 1.30am and were pleasantly greeted. So relaxing, warm and welcoming. We travel alot and would rate this experience near the top. Thank you for your hospitality.. lovely and quiet..
Nothing to say here.
A great alternative to staying in Hobart city. Excellent breakfast, and. Very friendly hostess.
Very little not to like.
The house is a beautiful old mansion, with views of the Tasman bridge and Mt Wellington. Our room had lots of space and the two armchairs were appreciated. There is a loungeroom for guests' use and a constant supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was excellent. My gluten free requirements were supplied with a smile. It is only ten minutes over the Tasman bridge to the centre of Hobart. We stayed for five nights and it felt like a home away from home.
I have a bad back and found the beds too hard. My husband said they were fine. No other problems. It was all good.
This place was beautiful. Located 10 minutes from Hobart city, but far enough to be quiet. The rooms are stunning, warm and comfortable and the staff are absolutely lovely. Couldn't ask for a more relaxing place. Highly recommend
Breakfast was delicious. The room was quiet, bed very comfortable. The location was great. Lovely garden. We would definately return and recommend to friends.
Always a great place to stay with welcoming owners.
Friendly and helpful hostess, cooked breakfast, free Wi-Fi, comfortable lounge room, lovely garden views
Very small bathroom
comfort and quality
Lada was so friendly and helpful.
Comfortable room, friendly atmosphere, beautiful gardens surrounding the stately home. Easily located if travelling by car.
I loved everything there was not anything that the staff would not do to assist people. I would highly recommend this place it caters for everyone even families, staff very friendly, breakfast provisions are plenty, enjoyed my time here, will be back to spend more time here
