Location - St Kilda was a really interesting place which came to life at night. Bathroom - this was the only room in the hotel I think they bother to clean.
Bedroom - filthy and bedding not clean, pillows covered in sweat stains. Pasta on floor and used earbud on dresser. Noise - hardly slept due to other guests. No night porter so guests were running around corridors, fighting and shouting until around 4am.
It was close to shops , beach etc
No available parking And quiet noisy all hours in the night ..
Unfriendly staff at reception. Hotel looks dark and dingy with outdated, dirty facilities. Room smelt badly and was in need of a good clean/makeover! Didn't feel safe at all during my stay there as all doors were left wide open at night. No parking available! (false advertising)
Not a lot.
Pretty much everything
Location was good, close to shops
Everything was very below expected standard in Australia, even considering the price. The hotel paid no attention to health and hygiene, and was extremely dirty and no evidence of regular cleaning was found. The facilities were well-below accepted standard.
great location next to the beach
you need to pay extra if you want to leave you luggage after check out (this is the first time that we saw that) or wi fi even in the common area. It seems that the price for room is low but you need to add extra costs to this..
Old style hotel is conveniently situated on Grey Street, St.Kilda. Askbfor anything extra and the manager or duty staff will do their very best to accommodate your request. My bed only room was great for me on the balcony side of the comple, away from the madding crowd.
If you don't like stairs you can request a ground floor room.
everybody how stay there are friendly and helpful. tram stop and shop are close
wifi was not worth money! even at 3 am at night it didn't work properly. i booked 4 mix dorm but when arrived was put in to 10 girl dorm which was messy like most girls dorms
Beds uncomfortlable, recection didn't open until 10, bathrooms dirty, rooms small
The place looks like a dump. Room was stinky, huge stains on carpeting, windows didnt close and were stufed with plastic bags. walls and cielings with holes, paiting was peeling off, bedding didnt mach and was questionably clean. toilet and shower was far from the room and the doors didnt lock. Could provide pictures, booking.com should not list places like these!
On a cycling challenge in Melbourne with a mate, ie a mature couple but not a couple. Very helpful front desk.
For the price, no complaints.
Cheap accommodation for the budget-conscious traveller. There is plenty of choice of eateries around, with a Woolworth's supermarket 5 min away. Rooms vary in size and price and the staff is always happy to provide extra items if you need.
If stairs are a problem, book a ground floor room. It is best to ring ahead to let the front office know when you will be arriving.
Oslo hotel ubication. It's close by tram to cbd and major Melbourne tourist places
The staff was no polite and the bedroom was not that comfortable. I think that for a budget hotel is ok but do not expect to much
Tried to check in at 3pm and room was not ready. Given a sleeping bag as a blanket. Room was freezing. Place needs painting and adequate facilities. Reception is never open, shutters down all the time.
St kilda is a nice area, but the street the hostel is located on is riddled by prostitutes and homeless people.
Shabby, cheap, run down decor. Not enough toilets/bathroom facilities. Not enough plugs. Not a friendly atmosphere. The lock didn't work properly. Shower water was cold. It was cold.
Unfriendly stuff, worst hostel I've ever been and I've seen a lot.
A female dorm and a female bathroom. 10 females inside, but quiet.
Bathroom not clean. The light switches off every 15 min and you had to press the button again.
Very helpful and nice staff indeed. Old fashioned rooms but if you come expecting that you will have a great stay
Shared bathroom good but could be cleaned more often
People on deck loud.washrooms a mess.rooms not clean while I was there for five days.just a bad stay.
Location to exciting St.Kilda shopping.
Room standard and balcony not satisfactory condition.
The location was good. I was staying in a single room and I my room was Ok. The staff was helpfull when they were around. No disturbance.
The hotel looked like a honted house. Initially was a bit scary but got used to it. The kitchen was dirty and was not convenient.
Clean rooms, clean showers, clean toilet. Plenty hot water and good pressure. Friendly staff. Would book again
Was cold in the rooms. Not enough plankets
It was close to the resturants and bars
I asked the guy behind the counter were to park, he said the road bang outside until 10am i asked him twice if he was sure he said yes, i then woke up to a $150 fine!! Also he told me the complete wrong way to my room so i was walking around a while looking for it.
