The place was well laid out, bar and food area was great, we like the pool area, the room well insulated for the climate, excellent customer service in all areas.
More toilet facilities needed, more signage needed, recived blue feet from pool surface, loose tiles around pool , also paving uneven on paths, causing trip hazard, long tables in eating area too low, plus seating as well. Storage lockers needs repair, needs locks on windows in bunk rooms, gutting needs cleaning to reduce fire hazard, needed water bubbler at front of waiting area. Toilet areas need more attention, ( cleaning, fixing of taps, doors in female need repair.) also rooms need to be serviced more efficiently to be available on time.
Restaurant at the back was lovely and the restaurant staff were excellent. There was a viewpoint for uluru aswell which was a bonus. Toilets and showers were very clean.
Only two plug sockets in a four bed dorm which wasnt sufficient. It was extremely cold during our stay and there was only a thin blanket for each bed so we didnt sleep well.
The distance to the toilets
I roomed in the four-person bunk dormitory to avoid the stratospheric prices in the other choices at this resort. I happened to get lucky with compatible bunkmates. The shuttle service within the resort and to the airport is complementary.
Prices at the resort overall are very high. Some people stay at Alice Springs and visit Ayers Rock on a daytrip, though that's a long day indeed. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of a single operator who runs all the lodging facilities here.
I liked the resort in general.
I didn't like the price of the coach trips to Ayres rock. It was only 24 km and they charged us 60 dollars. This seems a bit excessive. Also there was no cycle hire around the resort which I thought there would be.
You can see Ayers Rock from a look out point Big hostel kitchen
- nothing to do when not at Ayer rock - kept hostel and hotel very seperate - prices were very high - hostel room was about the size of a garden shed with a bunkbed in - would not recommended coming here alone! In winter months of oz
location,free filtered water
we feel we were misled about the cost when we changed our room from dorm to double.it was a BIG surprise at check out.we thought it was $50 extra.not $50 per day per person.i think they should be more explicit!
shuttle bus, bbq, common room, camp kitchen, views were all great
Shower block was very cold
Loved the location and facilities
The showers and tiles could be a bit cleaner. As the night went down to 2 degrees and you only supply one cotton blanket I suffered a very cold night so more bed blankets are required. Should have the option of hiring towels so we don't have to travel home with a wet towel.
Only two powerpoints for four persons per room. Only one light, no reading lamps. No lockers for the cloths.
the location was perfect and a big kitchen
there were a lot showers to use, but the water was everywhere. the whole shower was flooded, especially during the evening.
The location close to the Uluru NP.
The bathrooms were not heated and were not part of the object where we stayed.
Kitchen and grill facilities.
Isolation from cold was very bad in the bedroom and in the common bathroom. In winter it is definitely too cold to be able to take a shower.
I liked the lookout to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. The kitchen and the common room were excellent
Everything. From the noice, to the dirtiness, from the lack of confort, to the coldness (no heating), from the parking problem, to the poor summer blanket I had and this snooring guy sleeping next to me. Don't go there, defenitly !
big shared kitchen and clean too
a small smell when sitting at the bbq area
Position Friendly staff Pick up from airport suggestions for tour
Didn't realise what the combo BBQ involved!! Bits of emu, crocs, 'roos and God knows what. The crumble was great.
Served me good for money
Everything was closeby tours were excellent free shuttles to airport and shops were a bonus.
The toilets and showers were in a big barn type place which ment an outside walk in the middle of the night. Fairly clean but unheated. I was there in late June, it was cold at night and in the mornings.
Great communal kitchen bathroom & swimming pool
Room was too small for 4 adults and bathroom some distance away. Males cleaning female toilets is not very good
Staff are great very friendly and accommodating. Great range of room rate options. Bar and Restaurant area laid back with affordable meal prices.
Its a great place to stay when in Uluru. Just what you need in the middle of nowhere and on budget! All was good and really you don't need anything more fancy then that.
There is not much in the kitchen if you want to cook yourself but there is bbq option...bit expensive tho:(
I thought Liam on front desk was excellent. Our bunk room was perfectly fine. Steakwas a bit tough but that could have been husbands cooking!! Very happy
No complaints. Very happy travellers.
Friendly stuff and Nothing else ( except beauty outback)
We paid $200 for a 4 bed (2 bunkbeds) room about half the size of an average motel room with no amenities whatsoever other than a few electrical outlets. The sheets on the mattresses were clearly not washed prior to our arrival. The walls had stains on them, as did the curtains (Our were fortunately not sheer like many others we saw). The floor was made out of concrete and the walls out of concrete blocks. We did not have our own bathroom. Instead, we shared one, filthy public bathroom. I only used the toilet stalls three times. They smelled like a restroom in a truck stop in rural Mississippi. Each time I visited the restroom, the toilets had excrement in them, and one had what looked like excrement smudged on the wall . NEVER AGAIN !
