The rain outside

Very friendly, helpful staff. The apartment was comfortable and did not lack anything material. The bathroom was very new and clean, the beds comfortable with clean, fresh linen. The kitchen was very well equipped. Fully equipped laundry was a bonus. Ocean view was nice from the good sized deck with a nice outdoor setting and bbq.

The furniture and decor is quite shabby and outdated. The surface cleanliness was pretty good, but there was lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. There was mould in the bench/tile grout, the kitchen appliances were grubby. All the sliding doors and security doors need the frames cleaned. The locks were faulty or not working at all on the 'security' doors. The ceiling lights in the bedrooms and living areas were very low wattage, which made it difficult for my husband who has night vision problems. The bedside lamps in the main bedroom had switches which were difficult to operate/faulty. The fridge worked ok, but was quite scruffy on the outside. The outdoor areas off the bedrooms were unappealing .

Excellent views of the beach and ocean. Cylinder beach nearby is awesome. Great units comfortable and well equipped. Well recommended for a relaxing beach vacation.

Whales Way restaurant was pretty average. Nothing to write home about..!!

The managers of the resort were very friendly people great friendly welcome. Very obliging people. The restuarant food was amazing and the waitress there the night we ate was a delight.

I probably wouldnt stay here again only because of the upstairs downstairs situation. We had young children& my mother who is 71 has a bad knee. Also I thought that the property had two bathrooms and not one. The toilet system I can't remember the name of the box they have in the toilet but it became very annoying made alot of noise 24/7, at night it would keep us awake. The unit we stayed in could use a new paint job, also there were a few of the screened doors & windows that had holes in them. Also the downstairs back screen door could not be locked. The bed I slept in was comfortable but the other beds family were in were hard. First shower we had there was no hot water, rang the managers they fixed it straight away. Overall could do with some money spent on this unit by the OWNERS
