Punthill Apartment Hotel - Manhattan

Good location, nice sized apt.

Needs updating, very uncomfortable bed, noisy.

The layout was great.

We found the traffic noice unbearable and the windows/doors seemed very thin. Double glazing would help. Having an additional toilet in a 3 bed would be convenient.

It was very clean and staff cleaned the room daily and fixed beds daily. Big apartment with modern furniture.

It was a little far from CBD (Swanson st). Didn't have a pool.

Great location, clean, comfortable, well appointed, spacious.

I wasn't aware of the fitness centre or spa pool. This isn't a complaint, it is just a comment.

Very spacious and comfortable. Great price and location great for MCG. I would stay there again.

Did not like not having a window in bedroom. Air con did not work - apartment hot.

Unfortunately the hot water system died the day we arrived, but management was wonderful during this very testing time. We were kept informed on progress of repairs and eventually taxied to another apartment. Staff also took time to offer sightseeing advice and hints to enhance our stay. Apartment within walking distance of everything in cbd. We had a fabulous time.

Our reservation was for 2 days and we had no hot water the entire time. I understand things happen but it was not dealt with well - in fact it wasn't dealt with at all. Other guests who checked in the day after it happened (while water was still not on) were not informed of the problem prior to booking in & paying. - the staff did not keep us up to date with what was happening - we were not offered to move to other accommodation - we were not offered anything in compensation while we were there - eg. sorry here are breakfast vouchers or dinner vouchers for a restaurant or we will refund 50% of the price - it felt like the poor reception staff were left to deal with annoyed customers with no clear direction from management as to what to do. - we were told Punthill would contact us to tell us what they would do for us today Monday 22nd, but we have had nothing. All in all very disappointing considering we had decided to pay a little extra and have a couple of nice nights in Melbourne. It is not the mistakes that will sink a business but how they are dealt with.

Spacious apartment with all the comforts of home. Really comfortable bed and excellent apartment facilities. Very reasonable parking cost.

Broken kitchen cupboard door, unregulated shower temp, needs 2 lounges....

location was fantastic and the owners gave us a bottle of wine as it was our wedding anniversary ..thanks guys !!

The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in (I didn't sleep, see photos) The apartment looked nothing like the photos, much smaller and more basic than I expected. Staff was neutral, when they were actually at the front desk. Overpriced considering above.

It was a great home away from home.... Close to restaurants, pubs, shopping..

There was no washing powder for the washing machine

The apartments are a good size - I like a bit of space, bed is comfortable, rooms are quiet Great location - next to Treasury Gardens, MCG, theatre, eateries, shopping and city business meetings

Location perfect for city travellers. Easy access to Free City Tram and Bus. Ample eating venues also a good little IGA Supermarket. Reasonably Quiet location for a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed. Enjoyed the bath/spa too ! Extra payment for car parking was clearly explained by staff but all ok. Just next door and undercover. Not a problem !

We should have stayed longer !!

The location and accessability were just bwhat we were looking for. Perfect for a family city stay family or business. Beds were extremely comfortable, best nights sleep in ages.

Amenities were clean, but overall looking just felt a little tired.

Great location and great spacious apartment with laundry. Front desk was efficient and friendly. We had a our son who was 9 months with us and the cot for the baby was already set up when we arrived. Lovely!

Was complicated to use the laundry machine- clothes never got dry.
