Very convenient location, only two blocks from the center of town. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Quiet and clean with friendly, helpful staff. Nothing, everything was good.

We could hear the TV from the next door room early in the morning - 6.30am - when we were trying to sleep. Maybe you should think about soundproofing the walls by adding another layer of plasterboard?

Spacious,clean rooms,quiet location with off-street parking available. Stupid design of modern bathroom with slippery shower floor and virtually unreachable toilet paper holder in room 312, but may not be the same in other rooms. If you want to watch the TV in bed you have to "remove your feet" because TV is placed too low.

I think the staff were the best part, I can't remember the girls' names but everyone was so helpful! Many suggestions about where to eat, visit & they even recommended a guide who isn't in the tourist notes for a wine, Terry is his name. Very nice, softly spoken and loves Launceston! You will get along quiet well with him if you book!! I guess I picked up on a few things; firstly the bathroom was poorly set out.. Toilet on one side, toilet paper a lean a d a stretch on the other!! Haha! The shower also was annoying.. There was only a sheet of glass running the length of the shower, however there was no recess as such, just a raised platform. This resulted in water splashing on the floor, not that safe... The other problem was the single bed which we booked. It was just not comfortable... Felt like two soft unsupported mattresses were stacked on top of each other. Made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

The room had been refurbished and was delightful...... great bathroom! Enjoyed our meal at 3 Steps on George too! Bit squashy parking.... but still ok!

this hotel was in a great location, close enough to walk to city centre, yet far enough away from city noise. Very clean rooms. Receptionist kindly gave us a key to put our bags in room and freshen up even though our room was not quite ready. Unfortunately we stayed on a busy weekend (red hot summer concert, festivale) hence lots of noise. The people in the next room arrived back about 4 and talked at the top of their lungs for 2 hours. Bathroom was tiny and the toilet was continuously running and making a squealing noise.

Great location. Free car parking. Good sized rooms. 3 Steps on George. This was my second stay at this hotel and would definitely consider it again on another trip. Decor of rooms a bit dated, but comfortable enough. No Foxtel. Breakfast wasn't great.

Our whole experience at the quality hotel colonial launceston was the most excellent experience that we have had. The staff were really friendly and would help out with anything. The room that we stayed in was fantastic with everything that you needed for a room. The restaurant at the hotel was great as well. We can not fault this hotel and would recommend this hotel to anybody that is traveling to launceston.
