Quest Manly  

Good location with a very nice and friendly couple running it. Easy access to GBR and wild life habitats.

Not a lot to dislike, would be picky to put anything.

The staff, the room and the view were great.

The noise level at this hotel was horrendous. It seemed like the sliding door did not close all the way even though it locked.

Staff excellent. Parking. Clean! Very pricey for what it is, but so is everything in Manly.

The staff were very friendly and upgraded us to a comfortable, clean, well appointed apartment. We will definitely be coming back

The obliging demour of the friendly desk staff. The cleaning staff did a great job. The kitchen facilities were terrific. The location was exceptional in relation to Coles and Harris' Farm Market. Sound insulation when front doors shut. Great parking facility. Close to harbour safety lap pool. Close to terrific beach & surf. Great walks.

A bit noisy on the balcony. But, watching passing parade interesting anyway.

The gym facilities were great and the location in Manly was stop on. Also having a kitchen with facilities was a big bonus.

The drilling nose at 7am each week day but this was due to a refurbishment of a restaurant under the building which will not be all th time

It was really noisy with the traffic and buses outside and single-glazed windows. I had a terrible night's sleep because of the noise. The rest of the place was great. How hard is it to have a double-glazed noise reduction ???

The outlook from the windows, staying in Manly was great the local restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs were great and not too expensive. Travelling to the city on the ferry was relaxing and enjoyable. Australia Day on the harbour was terrific. The staff at the quest were helpful and pleasant nothing was too much trouble.

Initial contact with staff was pleasant. Room was comfortable, clean and great location. We stay in Manly almost every fortnight and this was our first stay at Quest.

Car park was an issue as no cards were available to swipe for entry in and out, and clearly it was an inconvenience for the staff to open the gate when leaving and re-entering as they showed no manners only irritation. I would suggest that they may be a little more customer service orientated and pleasant.

I loved its location and its easy access to the ferry, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were very well kept. The facilities were excellent.

The staff were excellent. The location is perfect. Parking is easy and the staff let us leave our car there once we had checked out. Overall a great place. You can even take your own beers!

Cleanliness, comfort and location

Disturbance with noise from a building site and a false fire alarm at 3 am

Splendid location, accross the ferry wharf at Manly. Ferries go to Circular Quay in 30 minutes, and leave manly half-hourly. Super convenient. Supermarket and nice restaurants just round the corner. In front of the harbour beach, a short walk away from the ocean beach. Apartment is big, well equipped, washing machine, drying machine, dishwasher, complimentary coffe, tea, cookies. Staff friendly and helpful, had some trouble with the wi-fi, promptly solved. perfect vacations!

Perfect location and access to northern beaches. Professional staff. Pricy, due to poor pound/dollar exchange. Would definitely come again if pound/dollar exchange was more favourable.

The Quests offer great appartment living rather than hotel accommodation

I loved the Quest Grande Esplanade. The location is fabulous and we had a harbour view to some extent, being on the first floor with some large trees partially blocking the view. Still great though. The free secure underground parking was wonderful with easy access to the lift. The staff were friendly and efficient. The apartment itself was well appointed, with a full kitchen, tea/coffee/sugar/biscuits, dishwasher and cooking implements. There was a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. There were TV's in the living area and bedroom. It was immaculately clean and fresh and a pleasure to stay in. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Lovely pillows on the king size bed. Good sized sofa bed. Easy access to the ferry and the shops, a short walk to the beach. We were certainly not aware of the traffic when the doors were closed, despite our close proximity to it. We stayed on a Saturday night on the first floor and did not find the street noise an issue.

The lovely king sized bed was very hard and did not appear to be a good quality mattress. The two televisions in the apartment were very small, which is fine in a bedroom but a big disappointment in the living area. Considering the tariff we paid, this is not what we would have expected. The shower was over the bath, difficult for someone not able bodied or as agile as the younger folk.

Could not fault it. Fantastic location just across the road from Manly Wharf for the ferry to Sydney. Spotlessly clean, very well appointed studio apartment - excellent.
