Radeka Downunder Underground Motel

Sicuramente originale (come tutti gli hotel in questo paesino) - nel deserto si è' arrivati a 46 gradi, poi dopo un temporale la temperatura e' scesa a 24 gradi - abbiamo cambiato la camera prenotata perché' troppo fredda (era sottoterra) - abbiamo pagato alti 45 aud per avere una camera più' carina ed al piano terra - esperienza da provare almeno per una notte - in paese ci sono comunque altri hotel caratteristici e più' economici.

The best about the hostel were the staff. Everything else is really good too, but the staff are amazing.

The only thing I missed was a plug in our room and maybe a few extra basics in the kitchen like free salt & pepper etc.

Friendly staff and was prity sweet sleeping in there underground set up

it was different being under ground

well the ceiling was flaking off and it was landing in the bed while you sleept. noithing like waking up in the morrining with dirt in the bed from the ceiling

just thought it was the coolest hostel i have ever stayed at in 24 years.Very clean and well run and also they organize a great tour of coobey pedy /Recommend you stay there to see what i mean and listed as 3rd in the coolest hostels to stay at in the world john

Excellent and unique experience. Martin was a great host and would recommend this hotel to others.

Cleanliness, value for money, service was great and the extras like free transfers from airport much appreciated. i have never stayed in a better run or cleaner backpackers. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Only passing through and Coober Pedy is not for everyone

it was a little chilly in the room for my wifes liking .perhaps a small heater in the colder month

Budget room was too far from toilets for an old couple and stairs too steep. We upgraded to en-suite which was good.

Loved the central location and the host was such a laugh.

Bit strange that the walls didn't go all the way up to the ceiling and you could get a ladder and climb over the doors... very strange but it was underground!

The staff was so friendly and knowlegable they go out of th way to make the stay enjoyable

Thought I had a room with toilet and bathbut to my surprise I did not not a problem as one was available

I had expected the room to be cool but it was warm and dank. Even the bedding felt damp. There were too many rules posted everywhere eg. don't line up for the shower.\, no alcohol in budget accommodation (those in the upgraded motel were permitted alcohol?) Office person closed the office early and when I came to ask for information he was gardening and did not offer to re-open the office so that I could get the brochures I wanted.

Alles ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Grandios unter der Erde zu schlafen. Küche und Aufenthaltsraum stehen zur Verfügung.

Die Matrazen sind sehr alt und durchgelegen. Die vom Hostel angebotene Tagestour, die in der Dry Saison 50 Dollar kostet, kostet nun in der Wet aufgrund weniger Touristen 70 Dollar.als ich nach 10 Std. Busfahrt im hauseigenen Restaurant essen wollte, wurde ich auf den Pizza Shop um die Ecke verwiesen obwohl das Restaurant laut Öffnungszeiten offen war.

De kamers zijn verbonden met roosters. je hoort dus alles wat er in de kamers naast je gebeurt.De kamers beschikken niet over eigen sanitair.

prima locatie midden in de desert. mooie ervaring om een keer onder de grond te overnachten

Frisse kamers onder de grond; mooie gemeenschappelijke keuken; propere douches en toiletten
