This is a terrific upper-class hotel with a great location in the center of downtown Sydney and close to a train station from the airport. I got outstanding value -- 2 nights for ~$370 AU --- while other nearby hotels (Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, Four Seasons, etc) were much more expensive. The restaurants were undergoing rennovation -- maybe the reason for the discount price? Plus Internet was free and not some $15US per day type charge. They also had an indoor lap pool (this is very hard to find when traveling for swimmers like me), a very nice jacuzzi, and a better-than-adequate excercise room, all included in the price. Radisson bought this 125-year-old building in 2000 and rennovated it into a hotel, and everything still seems new still. It is located in the Business District, so the area is quiet at night and on weekends. But relatively short walks to the Quay or Darling Harbour or Chinatown opened up lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife. |

The Front Desk staff were excellent. When I had a problem with being unable to leave owing to flight disruption, they went out of their way is assist, and continued to follow up. Free Wi-Fi is a very useful benefit. |

I liked everything about this hotel, the cleannes, the location, the decor, the super comfortable bed (the best we've ever experienced and we always stay in 5 stars) but above all the Staff of the hotel and the guest relations manager who show so much care and attention for their customers. It means a lot. |

great location. we stayed in a premier room which was very very comfortable. 2 nice bonuses were that we had free wireless internet, which other hotels charge plenty for, and that the room has international converters for the electricity which helps again if your a tourist from outside Australia. I would recommend this hotel. the breakfast price is too high. there are plenty of really good cafes close by, which offer better value for money. |

Space in the rooms - bigger than normal hotel room. On two occassions it took about 25 minutes to get my car from the parking. I was told 10 to 15 minutes. |

Well located The room was smaller than the average rooms in the hotel and I guess this was allocated to us on the basis of how we booked |

We were allocated a room and then reallocated before we got to the room with no reason given. We were then allocated a disabled room; on request we were moved. Overall the hotel was ordinary, not exceptional, as a 5-star hotel should be. It therefore represented poor value to me. On reflection we should not have picked a "corporate" hotel when travelling as individuals. |

Central to Botanical Gardens, Art Gallery, Opera House and shops. We were wrongly allocated to a smoking floor when we had especially requested not to be. |

comfortable, relaxing and clean. All staff efficient and attentive but not intrusive. The breakfast was disappointing - the same format as at other Radisson hotels but not as well executed. |

Great location and superb building. Leisure facilities good too. Most of the staff very friendly and professional. No communication on reception about our late check-out lead to a very unprofessional phone call reminding us that we needed to check out. This was from the same gentleman who we had seen 10 minutes previous to say that our room keys had stopped working and he revalidated them. More training for Walter on Reception I think! |
