Wow we all had a brilliant time. 2 staff members really stood out Laura and of course Kylie. These ladies made our stay even more spectacular than we could hoped. Looking forward to staying again...hopefully longer next time.
The location, the food when available, the close proximity of the beach.
Some restaurants closed for food and drink which was inconvenient. The two bedroom units are the older ones they need a revamp.
Some staff and the outdated rooms.
Nice area, good facilities, nice staff
Some of the sports activities are run down such as the mini golf, tennis, Sprint Track, gym etc. But they are all free so that kind of helped. Some of the staff are really good and go out of their way to make you happy. One of the staff seemed to have a chip on his shoulder was a bit ride maybe he was just having a bad day. We were there for a week and the room was never serviced even though they are supposed to be done every 4 days, even after we requested it.
Rooms location. Excelent staff
Nice relaxing location
Pool was crowded with young children all of the time. Constantly being splashed and screamed around. Food service is very poor, very under staffed. Most activities such as bikes and water sports are in need of repair. Most activities listed in brochure are not available. Kitchenette was not very clean, had to wash all plates and utensils prior to use. Could be a great resort with a change of management practices.
lovely location and very friendly staff
there are 0 supplies, we stayed for 4 days and had to eat at the restaurant every meal because the "convenient store" not only charged $18 for 4 sausages and $3 for baked beans, but they only had 2 packets and no supplies. they didn't have anywhere to buy swim nappies, all the "activities" you had to pay for except the canoes. we had to treck a couple of kms across the island to another convenient store just to buy fishing supplies, sausages, suncream and sunglasses. our room was not cleaned once and we had to go to reception to collect clean towels. it seems to only cater for the day visitors on their yachts. extremely disappointed due to the cost we expected something really special but were highly disappointed. we even considered leaving early due to the lack of supplies especially with a toddler
The natural island setting close to Brisbane for a get away.
The natural environmental setting and wild life.
Very peacefull and relaxing even my kids enjoyed it so much. Were planning to go back again with some friends.
Plenty of room to walk around or ride to get away from everyone else. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The cost of hiring the pushbikes was way over the top.
The food, the lack of staff to take orders, long waits for ordering and for food - the lack of food (lots ran out)
great location great idea with lots to do
it is no where near how it was. the play ground is run down and nothing how i remember it. Where is the timer for the 100m sprint? Has huge potential to be amazing holiday destination just missing so many 1% needs new wine menu and a few more luxury items on the food menu.. if offering so much to do prices should be reviewed for bike hire and tennis racket etc should be left on court as they used to be for easy access for people to be able to play all these games offered. After telling many friends about it no one knows about it so needs to be marketed much better and offer family/ luxury so both young couples/ families can enjoy all resort has to offer.. over all great time and look forward to coming back please update quickly and get back to the glory it once was.
Room and location
Rather no gym equipment if not being maintained was very disappointing
We had a great weekend at Couran Cove Resort with all our family. There was something for everyone to do. Our 12 year old son was in his element with all the free sporting activities on offer: tennis, volleyball, shuttle board, squash, basketball, chess, sprinting track and putt putt. Our only problem was not enough time to do everything. We also enjoyed swimming in the heated pool, used the kayaks and hired bikes. We walked out to the beach and came back on your train and loved seeing the wallabies around the resort. We also enjoyed sitting on our balcony and watching the boats come into the harbour. We had great meals at both your restaurants and with beautiful weather and great company we all had a fantastic weekend and will be back.
As we were in a big group our rooms were spread out throughout the resort so a lot of walking to be together. We tried to get rooms together but this seemed impossible with the room types we booked. We are more aware now so will book differently next time.
Close to Gold Coast Great family location Plenty for children and adults to do Comfortable environment Good staff Food was good
No laundry facilities in the 4 bedroom villa. A little tired for the price. Good food but small servings at the restaurant. Pool food good but under staffed on weekends
Location, food, set-up, facilities
Event manager did not even took the effort to meet n greet!!! Very disappointed in this BUT one of the employees Karen did a fantastic job
Loved the beachfront accommodation. Loved the staff in the restaurant. Loved the food. Loved the serenity and wildlife. Should be packaged as a romantic weekend getaway with candlelit dinner (which we had courtesy of the lovely staff)
No access from balcony to beach. Store too far away and poorly stocked.
As a boat owner it was nice to be out on the water to fish or catch mudcrab on the beautiful Broadwater then be able to return to comfortable accommodation every night.
Liked the location and the pool area was great, the room we had was very good, the restaurant was also very good but only open on weekends
Lack of basic things like lack of towels for the pool, sports area over grown and some facilities not there or very shoddy, staff at reception were not solution focused where a lady in the shop, a lady at poolside bar and a maintenance man were very helpful and solved our problems, the bikes are very expensive to hire over a long period, kids at least should be provided free, train only works weekends and not every half hour as advertised
Great Isalnd Experience
ferry service is excellent boat captain very polite and helpful
mix up with booking we almost didn't get the apartment for the weekend
everything from the boat trip over, captain adam was a great way to start the 3 day escape, to the excellent variety of activites , bushwalks, bike riding, pools, views from our unit, comfort and class of our studio. Absolutely relaxed and will be back.
Shame the surf club wasnt yet opened , breaky, lunch or dinner there with the views and amazing deck would have been awesome with a beverage. Great place to have functions.
The proximity of the resort from Brisbane but feeling like it was far further away from the hustle and bustle. The great design of the resort allowing enough space from other people. Natural vegetation. Good walking/bike tracks and ability to do as much or as little as one feels like doing.
Rude staff at Boardwalk Cafe. Very surly on each occassion we went there. When we waited for some time prior to catching the ferry back were told very grumpily that food is not being served today as it is Monday. I didn't notice any sign saying this and considering it was a public holiday there really should have been food or a large sign advertising this. Other staff were good and helpful. A bit of a captive market re restaurants, would be good to have one more cafe/bistro.
Bike riding around the island.
Poolside restaurant didn't have enough staff to accommodate all the people. First night I had to clear and clean a table so we could eat a meal. The cafe was the same on the second day for lunch they lost my husband's order and we had to ask for it 3 times. Not enough food options fir a long weekend. Everything we asked for they had run out. We have been to the island twice before 10 year's ago and could not fault it. The place now is run down understaffed and basic food. Will not go back and wouldn't recommend.
Very relaxing environment
It all seemed a bit run down
