It was really clean, the staff were friendly, a gorgeous spot on the river for sunset is really nice, and the fact that we were allowed to have a drink from the bar on our picnic blanket meant both mum & daughter were catered for. The room service was a little disappointing. We waited almost an hour for a salad & kids fish n chips on a monday night. We cancelled in the end.The range for kids was really bad - 3 dinner choices - all with chips. The kids brekkie menu (room service) was non existent which meant (as a single parent traveller) I had to go down the the lovely cafe next door to grab simple toast and cereal, This kinda killed my planned lazy mornings! Finally, our room had a nice view but zero sunshine!! :(

Was awesome to have such a great night out at the point resteraunt and then being able to enjoy my night with my partner taking in the beautiful senery on the board walk. The ramada was beautiful but when I go back ill be requesting a river front room :D The room I stayed in overlooked ugly buildings (pool view room)

Water views Size of rooms Location Lack or service to room from housekeeping. We had a do not distub sign up and so missed the first round of housekeeping so the room wasn't serviced at all. It took 2 hours from our request for towels for someone to provide them.

The hotel was very impressive, great views, excellent rooms, great location. Could be used for 1 night or stay a couple of weeks. That we could only stay 1 night, could have stayed there much longer.

Our room was nice and pleasant and the outdoor patio (near the bar) looked very nice although we didn't have much chance to sit there due to the rain. Kitchen was nicely appointed and well equiped. Wait staff in the restaurant were flippant and ignored us during breakfast. We had dinner in our room one night and placed the dirty dishes outside around 9.30 pm, 11.30 am the next day they were still there. The exhaust vent in the bathroom didn't work so everything was foggy and damp. No TV programming guide was available (electronic or paper), our stay was during the storms/floods in Qld so trying the find the relevant station for updates was frustrating.

Every morning from our balcony we watched the sun come up and the dolphins come into the little boat harbor, and every evening just as the sun set over the river the dolphins came back. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we have been recommending Ballina and the Ramada to all our friends. One small point was the car parking, it was over the New Years eve holidays when we visited, but parking out on the street was a worry. We did manage to get internal parking some evenings but 3 out of 5 were spent on the street.

Great location, food was very nice. We had a cockroach in our room, which was mentioned to the front desk, and they didn't seem to care. I had this cockroach run up my stomach and across my arm while I was sleeping. I didn't mention it to my partner as she would have been upset. She saw it laying on the bed the next evening when she was gong to bed.

Friendly check in service by gentleman who was very customer focused and good ambassador for Hotel Chain. We enjoyed our stay and will plan to head back to that location and Hotel again. Thanks for looking after us. PPS the italian restaurant associated with the Hotel was brilliant as was our cup of tea on the patio, beers at sunset in the HOtel deck lounge area. Very nice. Could have had a better view up a few levels over the water.

Enjoyed the friendly staff and the luxurious feel of the room as well as the restaurant/bar area. Loved the view from both, and the choice of indoor/outdoor. We both felt spoiled. As it was my daughter (grown up), and myself staying, I was a little disappointed that she had to sleep on a pull out bed because you had no rooms with twin beds. I was surprised that you charged for using the net.
