The staff were friendly and courteous, maintenance was quick to come when needed and fixed the problem. The room was spotlessly clean, and we were never aware of any other guests on our floor. The only ctiticism we have is that the bed was too hard for our liking, and the bathroom was very small (not something that can be changed, of course).

Loved the location, very easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Staff we all very friendly. They did not restock the mini-bar. Didn't deliver the pillow that I had requested which resulted in a poor sleep.

The hotel is grand and beautiful. We got promotion price so its worth the money. The staff are nice and help. The hotel is just next to flinder street station. Excellent location. The hotel room is a bit small even we got a luxury double room. However the room is clean and comfortable.

The physical building is beautiful and the location is great for getting around with out being in the centre of the city. Felt like staff where abit offish ( which was the only case of bad service in Melbourne). They do not have proper bed linen, just loose sheets layered between a loose blanket and no fitted sheet for the mattress. Room service was over priced considering the quality if the food is not that great. Would also expect alot more from the restaurant inside the hotel as there is dose not have a wide range of food and for breakfast there is only two choices. Overall it wasn't absolutely horrible but I would expect alot more and I was quite disappointed. Will definitely be spending the extra couple of bucks to stay at a Hyatt or other hotel.

The Hotel location is central making it convenient for business,shopping,or general city sight seeing.My room was comfortable and clean and the Hotel facilities quite adequate. The staff were helpful. I would be happy to revisit if in Melbourne again.

Julanta went out of her way to help as did Andrew. Communication systems need improving: 1. Couldn't access ticket master ticket site with Internet at front desk 2. Had arranged early check in and late check out but front desk not told about it 3.had arranged flowers in room which was done but failed to make it on to bill - we had to chase it up to make sure we paid. 4. No vase available to put flowers in! 5. Hallway decor a bit sparse. 6. Bath robes thinning 7. water leaking out of shower in bathroom - under the shower door onto floor

photos of heritage eg Billiards Room quiet comfortable room helpful doorman beautiful restoration and preservation of hotel chocolates towels efficient door opener excellent location central to everything I don't like being negative but thought the reception staff could have been a little more friendly when we booked in. One young man asked us how our evening was on Saturday evening. That was nice. Just if you are wanting to improve experience for guests.
