The location was spot on making for easy access to the things I wanted to do. My only complaint was that no matter how hard I tried I could not get an even water temperature in the shower. The temperature would go from cold to burning hot, luke warm etc without warning or means to prevent that from happening. Very frustrating after a long day on my feet.

The location of the Republic Apartments is wonderful. Close to shopping malls, restaurants, grocery, transportation - all within walking distance. The staff is great. Always attentive to every issue and request. Very happy to assist with luggage, directions, calling cabs; any concierge service needed! Having the use of the full kitchen and laundry facilities was great. Much needed for the long stay. The large patio/terrace with the huge sliding doors was great to come home to after a long day. Best value around the cbd! This is a very comfortable hotel, but if you are into super cleanliness, you may be disappointed. The furnishings are dated and slightly worn, the bathroom could be cleaner (mostly in the shower and around the shower doors), the refrigerator and entire kitchen could use a good scrubbing (our dishes needing washing before use, the cooktop needed degreasing, our tea kettle was grimey and the fridge door had mold starting to grow on the seal). A few repairs were also needed in the unit, but staff was quickly sent and the everything was well taken care of. I think a few details were overlooked - and it happened to be my room with all the issues!

The Republic Apartments was ideal as it was in the centre making it a lot more convenient for shopping as the Woolworths Shopping Centre was less than a minutes walk away and most of the other nearby shopping centres were 10-15 minutes drive away. Also it has a pool, gym and spa which was good for exercise and relaxation. Staff were very friendly and helpful even suggesting ideas/attractions in the city. I guess the only downside would be that the Bedrooms did not have air-con but that's not really important as the ceiling fans were more than ideal.

Convenience of a city location within walking distance to the CBD, riverfront restaurants and Botanical Gardens. Availability of parking, Wi-Fi internet and proximity to shopping is also a plus.

Price & location were good. Proximity of supermarket & easy access via car was great. The rooms were only fair. Bedrooms are hot in summer & cold in winter. (Stayed there before) Cooking facilities are sub par (Both times in different apartments)

Great layout, great pool and spa. Good kitchen with all amenities. Free parking and good WiFi. Great for the whole family. There is a single air conditioner that is in the lounge area. This is a long way from the main bedroom and, on a hot night, does not keep the bedrooms cool.

The apartments were clean, comfortable and was in a very central location. Really appreciated the free internet access and wi-fi which was great. The pool and the spa was heated on the first day of our stay but on the 2nd and 3rd day it was not heated and the water was very cold, which was not very nice.

The location is superb being close to the city centre and a short stroll to Chinatown. Excellent facilities such as free wireless, tight security, secured parking, fitness centre and heated swimming pool. The view from the balcony is very good. None.

The staff (Roger) was really nice and helpful. The security in the hotel was excellent. The room was great, had everything we needed. Was very clean and had good views. It was not far from the beach and shops.

Good location well equipped comfortable and good facilities such as the indoor pool. Lovely view from main bedroom Bedrooms very stuffy and difficult to sleep, noisy from traffic downstairs (we were on the 6th floor). King sized bed in second bedroom was difficult to get in and out of, probably queen size would have fitted the room better, very very stuffy and hot in bedrooms. Airconditioner leaked but management took care of that

Very close to centre of city. Woolworths next door was really convenient for picking up last minute food and snacks. Staff were very friendly & helpful. They provided a google printout and map with directions when I needed help to find a destination. Interior walls of apartment need a touch up to cover scratches & bumps The dish washer (Dishlex) was a pain to load. Dishes & tumblers kept falling over and got broken in the cycle.

We liked the location in the very first place combined with good facilities and spacious apartment with an unlimited internet connection included in the tariff makes it an excellent choice.Recommended for all types of travellers. If they add griller and smaller knives in the kitchen it would be better.
