Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms.

Soap dispensers in bathroom. Very difficult to use with arthritic hands!

The ease at getting around Melbourne and the quiteness of the night for sleeping. the breakfast of a morning is quite enjoyable and the coffee on tap day and night is very nice

I've no complaints as the beds and room are not over the top as with other motels and this is reflected in the price, but this is not why we have chosen the Richmond Hill. It's the availablility to every thing around Melbourne, and no noise

Parking situation was not great but understandable for a crowded urban area.....and it is an old hotel, so the building is older and not in brand new shape like some places. But for the price, we were pleased with the accommodations.

Staff were friendly and the hotel is really nice. Loved the food for breakfast and the room was great even though it wasn't new or anything it suited the style of the hotel.

On our second stay we were given Room 100 which was a 2 bedroom apartment. Our car was parked outside the door. It was great. On our first stay, a few weeks earlier, we were very disappointed with the size of our room and bathroom and the convoluted way to get there. very friendly staff.

Rooms were a bit small

I loved the place in every way, staff we so friendly and nice.. I personally feel like I missed out on the hotel because I only went back to sleep and got out as soon as I woke up..

Only down point was that the toilets are shared. I didn't realize when I booked.. it wasn't a problem really because they were kept clean, it's just that I thought for a "hotel" the toilet would be in the room XD lolz!

Nice brekky. Tidy rooms. Very convenient to the city.

The booking.com communication debacle. It caused me a lot of stress in the 24 hours prior, not knowing whether I had a place to stay at or not. I don't know where the fault lies, but communication definitely failed somewhere along the line and it caused major stress to me and my wife. the walls are a bit thin in the hotel. I heard another couple enjoying themselves and it made my wife a bit cautious. I felt the cost was a little high, but I'm used to traveling cheap and this is my foray into non-backpacker accomodation. Life is expensive, and I'm poor, so really in the scheme of things, the price was probably quite reasonable.

Good and comfort with nice environment and self-served breakfast.

We were traveling to Melbourne for the first time (part of a bigger Australia trip) and needed a relatively inexpensive place to stay. For under $100 aus a night it fit the bill -- a place to sleep and bathe,and free breakfast. If we paid more, the small room might not have been so great.

No sink in the room.

Street noice. And fridge that ran on and off all night for 4 little long life milk portions save power turn them off

Nice decor lovely balcony to room very good breakfast newspapers elegant historical building well situated parking good bed shared bathroom was fine.

Close to grandchildren and central to city
