No ventilation in rooms No fan/cooling in rooms. Noise levels from pub next door - bass was so loud from band the walls were vibrating at times Limited hot water in shower.
Sociable atmosphere and pretty good facilities all round.
Every night was a discotech with an entire Irish village of late teen/early twenty-somethings, like.
The smoking weed in the courtyard
It was clean and reasonably quiet
the hand basins to wash your hands after the toilet were in the shower cubicles.
The location and the close proximity to CBD as well as local shops, transport links and other amenities, including a very quiet and great beach
Being a youth hostel with a lot of parties and people whole mostly live during the night a great nights' sleep is not expected; i must admit that jetlag didn't help much of that but was awaken almost every night by someone in hallways
Most people are holiday workers, not many "tourists"
The shower and toilets were ok.
Very loud pub at ground level with parties going on untill 1u00 in the morning on week days and 3u00 in the morning on saturdays. Not the place to be when you are just trying to get a good night's sleep.
It was party every weekend at the reception hall with beers, cigarettes and it was very loud. People staying there, mostly form Ireland, were very rude and behave noisy.
Clean room, toilettes and showers. Big and colorful shared spaces. Free breakfast and tram stop at few meters from the entrance.
transport and restaurants
Guest and pub too noisy
friendly..convenient....price....clean neat and tidy...modern feel to twin room and comfy
noisy on weekends....car parking hassles....wi-fi not avail in rooms
The kitchen Bedrooms
Extremely noisy every night! Common areas close at 10pm every night so we presumed staff would control the noise after this point but they did not! They were involved themselves! We had no sleep for a week so decided to leave a day earlier. The staff are very unhelpful and rude. We were promised wifi in common areas and also in bedrooms- however there was NO wifi in rooms and ran very slow in common room. Showers were cold. Although decoration is pretty, we booked this place to also get some sleep so please DO NOT stay here if you value your sleep. Very overpriced for what you get! On a Saturday night the entire building shakes because of the music coming from downstairs which carries on til 3am. Worst hostel ever!
Saturady night the pub below started with very loud music that ment zero sleep until early in the morning!!! How is this, almost unbelieveable- the toliets on my floor had no hand basin..ie I could not wash my hands!!! very very poor
Staff friendly, lovely ppl
Noise at night from ppl and there is a clube down stares and it's really noise and it was poor playing guitar
Nice location and clean room.
There's an English pub next door to the hostel which has a live band playing on Saturday nights. The music is so loud, the windows, doors and floors of the hostel vibrate. The hostel owner has apparently complained to the local council about the level of noise coming from the pub.
Wasn't impressed that I was told they didn't have my booking and no twin room
Atmospere, friendly people, BBQ, Breakfast, Nice kitchen, Excellent cinema TV with good sound in common room.
Right next to a loud live music pub which was open until very late. Very hard to get a decent sleep.
Clean room &location
Band playing till 3 am and disco , was that loud we could not hear each other talk.
I stayed in the single room which was a lot better than the dorms in my opinion as the noise wasn't that much of a big deal
Most people have been there for a long time so you get a feeling of exclusion if your not there for awhile
One bed for one person
One bed for one couple
Very clean rooms, staff were very helpful and polite.
Very noisy with the pub down stairs if you decide to go to bed a little earlier...
The staffs were very friendly and cooperative. Though a little far from city center, Ritz has wonderful communication links. The stay was for eight nights but it was great value for money.
The iron and laundry was upstairs. The bed was faulty thus my partner fell and hurt her feet.
Noise and loud music from the pub below at 2am in the morning
