Score from 57 reviews Very good
it was great we booked for two nights and stayed four everything was great washing machine and clothes line excellent. will stay a lot longer next time.the staff were fantastic and the resuarant was the best
loved everything about this place
Location was excellent as were the staff. We really appreciated the upgrade and found the unit to be very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful view. Looking forward to staying again.
I accidentally dropped a wine glass which smashed on the tiles. Cleaning up would have been easier if there had been a dust pan and brush handy.
Easy to get in and out of. Restaurant meals were good and good choice.
needs a lot of upgrading of rooms, paint, heating . Hand basin in room not in bathroom. Floor standing electric heater not really cost efficient
Not enough heating in the 3 bedroom house, cold upstairs and kitchen, heat pump worked well for lounge!
Waterfront location, pleasant views. Food in restaurant is excellent, particularly the steak. Staff were friendly. Very reasonably priced.
Interior of room a little basic, but reasonable for the price. Updating the decor could push this motel into the "excellent" category.
Fasility in the room not too good, and the heater can not cover all room.
Price, staff are okay. Tv with film channel
But out dated and in need of update
It was set in lovely grounds next to the river which we walked along for a short way. The ducks who came to visit were a delight. The staff were helpful and courteous both at reception and in the restaurant.
We arrived very late and the security was very helpful. The staff were nice, too. The room breakfast was provided instantly without pre-order.
The facility in the room were really dated and in dark color. It needs renovation desperately.
All good Liked everything
Friendly, welcoming and courteous staff Close to where I had to go Walk in shower Comfortable bed
Heating- worried about using radiant heater so close to bedding and furniture and it was cold with it off!
At 22:30 PM winter night, hot water only enough for 2 people to take a shower. baby cot can't used.
Awesome view from the villa we were in - complete with bunnies hopping around in the morning just out our window! Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Great value for money.
Maybe a better playground for children - catering more for younger children would be good.
Staff very helpful, friendly. Great view. Walking distance to MONA. Good Restaurant, good prices.
Rooms old but comfortable.
1) The lovely view and comfortable living environment as well as room facilities. 2) I forgot to take my toothbrush's charger with me when I checked out, the cleaner found it and handed over to receptionist and the lady kindly mailed it to me...so really appreciated! :)
View was good.
We were given a heater who's plug didn't reach anywhere...honestly it's winter. Heaters unsafe for smaller children. Rooms old, need updating. A lot of road noise from highway.
Wonderful for grandparents, two daughters and four grandchildren from three families, all together. Spacious and great kitchen
The stairs were too steep for a 91 year old. Didn't know whether to sleep up near the toilet or down where access was easy.
The large Queen size bed was the best I slept in. So comfy. The view was amazing and waking up every morning to our little feather friends the ducks was adorable too.. The breakfast was good value and very yummy. Having our beds made and room cleaned every morning was a bonus and wasn't expected! The location was fantastic just stick to Main Road or the Highway you can't get too lost to get around! Sadly with no central heating or air con I was concerned about heating till I found the Electric Heater which heated the room well and there was also a heater in the bathroom a bonus, as well as electric blankets on the beds.. Very comfy and snug through our 4 day duration. I found the room over all clean and fresh minus a few house spiders nesting in the louvers in the bathroom. It was great to have a laundry on site and affordable to use. The bathroom looks like it had an overall and very modern and room to move and another bonus was the hair dryer.
As for the cons I would have to say the reception ladies weren't over all helpful or that friendly rather get you in then out as for the cleaners they were very helpful and friendly maybe they should change jobs. Back to the room I found it an inconvenience to have to go the laundry every time you needed to use a microwave as the rooms don't have one even though there is plenty of room to have one in there. Also there was no cooking area or toaster as they have a restaurant on site but main meals we found a tad costly and not in our budget for a budget motel even though the breakfast were more affordable! Now as for our ducky friends who are cute and adorable with them pooping everywhere I think it would have been nice to have the verandas washed down so you aren't dodging poop why you walk along the verandas or sitting out the front !
Access to main rds View of river
Good spot and comfy.
I did not want to pay extra for a bed for my 8yo grandson. Other hotels do not make such charges.
Loved the place. The breakfast was not upto the mark. Expected a toast with 1 egg n a sausage would be great. It wouldn't cost u even 5 dollars to organize it n u could have charged it in the rent . No one wants to eat cereal n fruits on a holiday. Rest was all good.
The breakfast could have been better
Lovely house and good price for 8 of us
We are a big family with 2 young children. We got to use all the heaters in the house and the power point went off in the middle of the night and no one can help because reception not open until 7 am. So we got to sleep in the cold. And when I went to complain the staff seems to blame us to us too many heater at the same time which is not helpful.
I like the lake view and the ducks that waddle in front of my apartment
Heater is barely working. It's so weak that we have to bring out the portable heater in the storeroom. Worse of all, there was a sudden power failure for no particular reason. It was just nice after 9.30pm where the receptionist was closed and there was no one available to pick up my phone and solve the problem. The phone outside the reception that provides a security number isn't picking up too, that makes no sense in putting a phone outside. Called the security guard by his mobile number found in a booklet in the apartment and only after the second call and 4h later did he come to fix the problems. We had to bear with the cold for so many hours while we're having our holidays. Complained to the receptionist the next day and she couldn't do much because her manager isn't responsible enough to give us a better compensation. Just a $100 off isn't enough for a $320 per night apartment. Think carefully if you really want to book with them for such lousy treatment to new customers
Ideal and great value accommodation for a group of six
Good location on the banks of the Derwent River, beautiful views. The staff, overall we're very courteous and helpful, although we did have an issue with the restaurant manager/waiter who was very rude.
We found it difficult to find our rooms and the access to them was restricted, (12 sweater bus and luggage trailer). We also had issues with one of the rooms where the hot water wasn't working properly and wasn't dealt with to our satisfaction.
