The friendliness and the help given for travel advice as well as the excellent cooked breakfast and company. Even our washing was done! We would certainly return.
Nothing was too much trouble for our genial host Paul who helped us discover Melbourne and provided a great breakfast to help us start a busy day exploring a wonderful city. We would certainly recommend this lovely hotel.
There was nothing to dislike.
Paul was an excellent host. B&B initially selected because it was once an old Melbourne bakery. Loved the idea of guests sharing a long table for breakfast. Gave us the opportunity to meet others. Paul recommended the Royal Mail for an evening meal - food excellent. Our short stay lived up to our expectations. We have recommended to friends and would stay again next time in Melbourne. It is a pleasant change from hotel accommodation.
Minor issue was the spiral staircase.
The personal touch was very nice and appreciated
The owner Paul was affable and helpful. The B & B was small and intimate, unlike impersonal hotels. Great art work and furnishings. Breakfast in the old bakery area was a wonderful experience with a large table allowing guests to mingle and share travel advice/stories. The home cooked meal was fantastic. Robinsons is a wonderful surprise package and we highly recommend this B & B.
For most the location could be a little removed from the centre of the city but there are other parts of Melbourne to explore here.
I like the quaintness of this converted bakery. It has a very cosy atmosphere and Paul's breakfasts are delicious. I have recommended Robinsons to many people.
The manager was great very helpful without being in your face and the location was fantastic. Place was very warm and inviting
The Bed, they need to be updated too old.
Friendly and homely atmosphere
The bed needs to be replaced. It was lumpy
The hospitality of our host was superb. His expertise and helpfulness enriched our Melbourne experience.
No view from the room.
Loved the casual feel about the place and the convenience.
Dont change a thing
Paul made contact with me prior to my arrival to confirm booking and to ascertain any needs. This level of superior service and thoughtfulness continued throughout my stay. A very relaxed atmosphere where all guests interacted well.
Paul the owner is just brilliant. His knowledge of Melbourne and all it has to offer is second to none. He also helped us out with a future booking when we discovered the next B & B had overbooked us by giving us his time, advice and he use of his phone so that we could resolve the matter before we moved on.
Paul was very accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and spacious. It is a bit disconcerting at first having a bathroom across the hallway ( your own private one with bathrobes supplied ) but it is very modern and clean and once you get used to the idea it's not a problem. The location is on the outskirts but a short walk and you're on the free tourist tram which stops at all the major tourist attractions and takes you right around Melbourne All in all it was a great stay, Thanks
Breakfast (cereals, fruit, toasts etc) was free but a big cooked breakfast was extra cost (but was not expensive)
It's a bit different- quirky place yet homely.
A walk down the corridor to your own bathroom.
parking police operate in the area
We loved the friendly manner of Paul, the owner, who was at the door to greet us. Paul made us welcome in every way. The location is just on the outskirts of the city so within walking distance of the centre. Paul cooked and served the breakfast and still had time to sit down with us and have a chat. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay again next time we are in Melbourne.
Paul was a very gracious host - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. It was close to the Victoria Markets which is always a "must do" in Melbourne and public transport was easy. Walking into the city was no problem.
The room we had was quite small. I believe other rooms are more spacious but we did book at the last minute and it was the last available room.
Awesome & unique accom. WiFi,breaky, bathroom(shower - A1),parking,butler's pantry all good.Loved the female dog (think her name was Shirley ?)who made a brief appearance. Paul & Tish very welcoming hosts (not too 'in ur face')Gr8 value. Would look 2 stay again.
Stay was too short :'(
closeness to Etihad for the concert and only short walk to centre cbd
