Room was very clean and comfortable, however the ceiling was in need of repair. Also the hotel is very quiet so slept well. The breakfast basket was very nice. Compaired to nearby hotel found the room overpriced. Booked online at $149 for one night only to find same room advertised onsite for $20 less. Roomservice closes early and did not receive newspaper as asked.

The light breakfast is an added bonus, the bed and pillows where very comfortable. You would be surprised at the amount of motels we have stayed in and the bed and pillows were terrible. Will book again in August. The little card that said about paying an extra $9.95 for a cooked breakfast, it needs to be bigger so its visible. Or perhaps when we checked in it could have been mentioned then.

Mmm well the only thing I liked about this hotel was the bathroom. Most disapointed in the hotel all round. For a start there was never anyone on the hotel desk for assistance. The room was not what the pictures showed on the net when I booked the room. The room was barely big enough to swing a cat in. The room had a strange odour. The air con sucked, it was never cold when I swicthed to the coldest setting, as was a bit warm for my stay there. Every hotel I have ever stayed in there is someone manning the desk 24/7, even during the day there was knowone on duty.the price was quite expensive considering the hilton was only $250 more for the same time of stay. Very unhappy all round and will never recommend this hotel to another sole!!!

Location fairly central. Someone had peed in toilet and cleaners left furniture polish soiled face cloth in bed which soiled ipillow and sheets . This was replaced by management . However even the bed cover was stained and dirty. Not a good impression!!! The room was on same level as spa/sauna and room had damp stench also . Parking was difficult

I loved the apartment , very confortable and it was so very convenient to city and Central Station. Very clean and comfortable - I may be travelling to Brisbane again towards the end year and will certainly consider they Rothbury for accommodatiion. I am not happy with the credit card process as I am been charged $398 as pending on my card on arrival and this is still sitting as pending on my account as of this evening (9/4/2013) and an amount of $298 has been fully charged to my credit card as well.

Friendly helpful lady on the desk. Audrey Ewan (not John) We did not like having to share our air conditioning controls with the people in the next room. We turned it down and they turned it up. The phone was broken and could not be fixed that night.

Location Advertised as "best 4 star hotel in Brisbane" huge claim completely false! The tiny room, shower that only dribbled water in fact could not wash my hair. Mouldy bread & congealed off milk supplied for breakfast. Fridge so iced up that it could not work & was hard to shut. No one at reception for long periods & the phone not answered so no help there!

We loved the style of the building interior, it takes you back to another era with the art deco fixtures and fittings. Just a beautiful hotel. The shortage of staff, we phoned ahead to see if we could book an extra night and the answering machine was on. We didnt get through on a second attempt either so by the time we got to the hotel we were not sure if we would get a room. There was nobody on reception and this was around 4.pm there was another person waiting to be checked in too and he had been trying get service. The hotel is like 5 storey's and there was one staff member to cover reception and deal with other duties at the same time. The receptionist appeared after waiting 10minutes in the foyer. We managed to book for an extra night and we were told that a breakfast basket would be dropped off to our room. We were out til late that night and when we returned there was no breakfast basket which we had to remind staff of the next morning as reception is unavailable after 7.30pm. The staff are definitely over stretched at this hotel.

Great location, close to mall, shops etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very handy to cafe nextdoor, great for coffee and breakfast and as a meeting place. Air conditioner was a bit noisy and no instructions for adjusting it.

Excellent value for money. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including breakfast (a basket of provisions in the fridge). Great location, yet was very quiet. The absence of reception staff after 8.00pm. We were due to arrive quite late, and had to call ahead to find out how to get in. Getting in was no drama, as it turned out, but I'd prefer not to have to think of that when planning a trip.

Close to Central Railway Station so easy to get to & from airport. Staff were friendly & helpful. Room service bar prices were very reasonable. Comfortable apartments. Last weekend's wild weather made it difficult to get a meal as the 301 restaurant doesn't open on weekends & it was too wet to walk down to Queen St or Riverside to get a meal.

Quiet central location, close to other city facilities and businesses, as well as trains from/to Airport. Staff were pro-active by starting the room air conditioner ahead of my arrival, on a very hot day.
