Cleanliness Ease of check-in
Surcharge for credit card use NOISE at night - of other guests and the noise of the roller door to the basement was really LOUD! Light from other guests - unable to block out as no light-blocking curtains available??!
Stairs close yo the bed
Location suited our purpose on the night.
Too many things to mention. Will be writing a letter to Quest Head Office outlining everything we weren't happy with.
I enjoyed my stay very much . However the toilet was dripping all night.
Reception staff were amazing and went out of their way to look after my elderly mother and myself during our 3 night stay.
Very helpful receptionist
Water tap came away in my hand! Lack of cupboard space Shampoo etc made in China Only one small square of soap
Location fantastic. Very quiet.
Couldn't get a meal or snack at the bar at 530pm. Had to get a packet of chips from machine.
Staff friendly and helpful and rooms spacious and very clean
Dismissive staff Steep staircase to room within door
Right across from the beach and beautiful beach walks - fantastic location!
Manager sent me to the wrong suite; was moved within 10 minutes to correct suite; then was told I had to move again the next morning!! And a guest next door's 5:46 am phone conversation on his balcony woke me up...
Comfortable, despite the small room. Clealiness & responsiveness of staff also good. The shower was quite large; the room was quiet.
Closet in room cumbersome to access due to cramped quarters. Would have been nice to have a window to open to get some fresh air in the room.
The bathroom was good, as was the little kitchenette.
The staff were patronising They got our booking wrong; we booked two single beds and were my only changed to a double bed we were given a room with a stupid class box around the bedroom. The smell of the room and the cleaning products were horrible.
The previous guest's soap and shampoo remnants were still in our shower. Not a good start. ? cleaning thoroughness.
The bed was so comfortable. Room was clean. Front desk service was great!
Common Areas The common areas were very dirty. The carpets at the lifts and the corridors were badly scuffed. The glass areas had finger prints on them. Corridor Walls The walls also needed a bot of plaint to remove scuff marks also. The Gardens They need to have the dead leaves removed. The gardens looked like they were dying because of it. Booking.com Quote parking at $10 a night and then the hotel documents state $15.
the room was spacious. Good location, within walking distance to Church Street for restaurants.
The keycard to open the door needed resetting every day. There was little privacy due to rooms opposite in the courtyard. The airconditioning was very noisy.
Room was tiny and airless and had a difficult set of stairs on entry. Balcony prevented any view and plants were all dead. Staff not helpful.
Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and well appointed
Breakfast was average, and we returned home from a wedding after hours and our room key wouldn't work, but a manager was on site to let us in luckily
Location was great, bed was comfortable
Not told about the 16 steps up to bed, fridge smelt, did not work and was dirty.
Good staff, good food, excellent location
No minibar is OK, but there was no coffee either
Nice shower, fridge, microwave, good breakfast, handy to train & beach
Noisey neighbour the first night
The staff were friendly and I ate there one night and the meal was very good
The air conditioner was not working very well and the staff just said it will take a while to warm up- all night!! The cleaners need lessons on service- bed just pulled up, sink left with food in it and empty tubes of spa gel left in shower for three days. Obviously the shower was not cleaned!!
The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable.
The staff were appalling, the hotel was noisy, the facilities were not open, they forgot to clean our room... I could go on....
Front staff very pleasant.
They don't clean properly. Sink dirty on a daily basis. Sheets not changed.
When we left never to return
The false avertising by the Quest Brighton who use second party online- booking Company, we asked for a twin share room with two single beds, arriving late at night from Perth for the 2013 Grand Final. All they could do was roll in a fold up bed with dirty linen and said the issued would be rectified the the next day "well it wasn't, ...documentation showed 2 single bed accom required, however there reply was that is just a comment made by the booking Company and we can't Guarantee it... This was after payment was taken.... To cut a long story short "it's always" easy to pass the blame and take the money, then not admit to poor service. All this after traveling 3750Km from Perth
The kitchenette comfortable bed Quiet location parking the docking station
the view the quality of tea and coffee and long life milk (yuk)
