Excellent rooms and facilities, friendly and helpful reception staff members, excellent location, good booking deals. A misunderstanding regarding a non-smoking room resulted in a very steep $500 fine. During the check-in, I asked a reception staff member that a guest would like to smoke - specifically, I asked if a bottom window could be opened, and if my guest could place an ashtray outside (and blow smoke out through the open window). The staff member said this was fine, unlocked the window, and provided an ashtray. I was not warned that this still constitues as breaking the non-smoking rules, therefore I feel the heavy fine is unfair and due to a misunderstanding. As much as I like the hotel, I am very reluctant about staying there again. I feel this is a refelection of management mis-communication, and that it should be corrected, and that the heavy fine should at least be reduced.

Good evening restaurant. Handy for friends we were meeting. Unable to have a new globe in bathroom from 3 requests. One small light is not enough to use mirror. Light so poor my night light stayed on! Lighting in room inadequate. One centre light in room serviced by one light switch at door (room 006) not good enough. Bedside lamps not bright enough for reading so main light had to be left on - then when ready for lights out one has to walk down passageway to turn off light.

Located close to the event I was attending. Booked an Attic Room but didn't get one. Air conditioner was weak and room was stuffy. Quite a few of the dishes in the cupboards weren't clean.

Closeness to family we were visiting. Bed was comfortable Room not being cleaned for 2 days. Not having all Fox sport channels breakfast quality very poor (after one day we went elsewhere) Bar staff for drinks & coffee had no training. Coffee - YUCK

Location, use of gym at Boat Club, nice staff, parking ok, convenient and tidy rooms, options to cook and use as a small motel, Main dinner not great, adequate but over-priced.

It was clean and comfortable. The car park was very tight. A lot of forward /reverse to get car in and out of the space. The breakfast spread was basic. Only 2 choices of cereal and not even museli.

Comfortable unit where we could prepare light meals if needed. Very clean and positioned nicely for a break from business but close enough if we needed to return. Could not find the movie channels as advertised. Lucky we briught a DVD backup plan.
