I would have to say that it was the most comfortable bed I have slept in! My daughter and I stayed overnight on our way to a funeral in Canberra. The room was lovely, and very comfortable. We realised the next afternoon that my daughter had left a book behind, so I rang the hotel and they had it waiting at reception for us to collect on our way back home. Would definitely stay there again.

-I think generally the look and the decoration of the front door and the bar looks quite poche and it is matching a 4-star like hotel -The hotel room is generally clean and simple, except the bathtub -I went in and saw the look of the hotel is pretty good, but if you go visit the bathrooms (male and female), the water tap there was stained with some mold and darkish substance, it was smelly, which made the hotel quality droped due to low maintainence, and the fact that the room there is not cheap, double room cost about AUD $ 200/night, i think this could be done better. -Me and my wife was going to use the bathtub but the tub there was stained with some blackish stuff, and that annoyed us a lot because it said on the introduction about you can kind of having a baththere. It is not cleaned properly! -The service is crap, the checking in time is 2pm, but when we got there at 4 ish, they said the hotel room was not ready and got us to wait there for 20 minutes. Although they have offereed us vocher and free drink (1 per person) the coffee and hot chocolate were poorly made, coffee was burnt, hot chocolate was too sweet, i guess hotel could do better? Also, there was only 1 freaken person at the bar and resturant, and he asked us to go pick up the drinks rather than him serving us.

The staff were absolutely excellent. The location was great for me. I found the air conditioning to be quite cold. I had to juggle the control, wrap myself in a blanket and wear extra clothes (and I hadn't come prepared for cold). I'd have liked clearer instructions on how to access emails

Very helpful friendly reception staff, comfortable bed, good pillows and bath as well as shower. First room I had was incredibly noisy due to a festival on nearby and receptionist immediately changed my room to a quieter one. Restaurant was hit and miss, first night service and food very good, second night very very slow service and food ordinary. Also room service breakfast very poor, couple of bits of soggy toast and a small packet of muslie for $24 inc room tray charge, not good enough. Also friends staying at hotel experienced difficulty gaining any benefit from their hotel ' members' card, lots of fine print around when and who to show it to for meal discounts and rules about exactly which wine / beer you can and cant have for welcome drink etc.

The staff at Rydges were inviting helpful, and catered for all needs as requested. The grounds are really clean and relaxing. The sun deck area was the best, sat and enjoyed a meal and my coffee. Was disappointed that they did not honour my rewards as a Rydges member, this was because l booked with Booking.com.

There was no need to go outside the hotel for restaurants. The dining facilities at the hotel were excellent; service was good; and, the prices were reasonable. The constant hiss of the air conditioning system was a bit obtrusive for light sleepers.

We came to Sydney for NY's and picked this hotel in the suburbs as there was nothing else available closer to the CBD. Though a tad pricey (for our budget), we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming decor, friendly yet professional service, very clean room, supremely comfortable bed and the view. Though an hour's ride to the city, the train station is very close and parking is secure. We tentatively booked for another day and cancelled at the last minute as our plans had changed. Staff were accommodating and there was no charge. The surrounds is very neat and relatively quiet. Will defintely recommend for future stays. The air conditioning on the last night did not work as well as we would have liked. Given it was summer, this was a bit of a let down.
