The in house movies The location wa further than told - .7 KM from Canberra was more like 15km from the Centre of Canberra. The rooms were tired and I thought my sheets had not been changed from the previous guest as they were not crisp and all wrinkled. The room service forgot past of my order. The bar was not "the happening place" |

Huge bathroom and comfortable bed Considering how far out of town the hotel is, and the price per room, there are a lot of maintenance issues ie; bathroom and spa fixtures are very old and worn looking. The outside of the buildings are the same and have a very "neglected" look. T.V picture quality was really awful. Overall, not what I would expect of a Rydges hotel. |

Native animals were around the park, the children loved seeing the kangaroos so close Service at the counter was poor. Both myself and a friend booked in at the same time had problems with our bookings. On check out, the young lady who served me (dark hair and a pierced lip) was shabby dressed, her shirt was too small, unironed and dirty, and she was quite rude. I was not asked how my stay was, my credit card was swiped and all went thru then I was told she would have to re-enter my credit card number into her computer, when I asked why I was told we just have to. I thougth this was very strange, and I can only assume she was taking my details incase I had used the mini bar, which I had not, nor was I asked. |

The is nothing we like about this Rydges Eagle Hawke Resort My family including our young children (as young as 2) were put in a room which has been flooed with the smelly sewage water on the night of 3rd October 2009. We could not use the toilet, we could not bath or take shower because the bath room was already full of sewage water. I rang the hotel receiption twice during the night to report but twice being told to stay in the room and nothing the hotel can do to help. It was a horrific experience of our life. We checked out the next morning, I did take video and pictures of this room, can upload if you want to see it, I think the public should know about this type of service at Rydges Eagle Hawke Resort. |

Very poor organisation with breakfast. Understaffed and poorly organised. Definitly an area needing improvement. Shower taps did not turn on. Appeared to be pressure related. No signs / direction. |

The mini bar was reasonably priced, the rooms very very clean. Location is gorgeous. There was no dvd player which was unfortunate as I was just hoping to sit back and relax and watch a couple of DVD's with the Mrs. However, we made our own fun ;). Also I had to power off the TV (from the mains) as it would not change channels for some reason. |

Surroundings were very attractive and habited by wildlife. Noted the availability of laundry facilities if we plan a longer stay. We paid for three people (sent this intention in advance) but the room which contained a single and a double bed, we only set up for two (cups, glasses etc.). Also only one person on duty at the desk at 9 am meant the check-out time was excessive. |

The stay at your hotel and the best thing that i could say i liked was the kangaroo and goe in the garden on the friday night THe mould in the bathroom and the left over soup on the shower rail , the tiles in the bathroom looked like thay were going to fall of and under the sink you got wet feet when you turned the taps on ,and the cold coming it the front door.Os i dont think that we will be staying at your hotel the next time we are in canberra |

Unfortunately I do not have a high regard for this hotel. Room was cold with no electric blankets and this is Canberra, brocken tiles in the bathroom , grouting turning black, spill in fridge from a previous tenant not cleaned up etc etc etc. These rooms should be taken off availability untill fully refirbished. Was there anything to like, I don't think so. |

I found this hotel 'run of the mill' the room was nice and the heating was adequate for the canberra climate. Not real dislikes but improvements could be made to the signage and lighting around the resort. One way system poorly signed. Dealing with customers when dining room full due to bus tour. Told to wait at least 15 mins. Offered cup of coffee but daily paper to read would have been nice |
