Refurbished in October 2012, Rydges Gladstone is located in the heart of Gladstone and offers a swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. All rooms feature a balcony offering harbour or city views. The fire alarm going off at 4am in the morning. After evacuating, there were no staff at the marshalling area and no staff informing the guests whether or not we could return to our rooms. There was no apology from staff at reception the next morning when we checked out and when I asked what had happened was told 'oh, that happens all the time!'. The response of staff when the fire alarm goes off and guests evacuate is a serious OH&S issue that was not dealt with adequately by this hotel.

The staff were great The room was extremely expensive. There was a leak in the roof of our room which was very annoying. The Harbour view was deceiving. We tried to get a meal in the restaurant at 8.55 on a Saturday night and was knocked back! Certainly a working mans hotel ??

Room was Available Looked and felt like a mining or industrial accommodation. Lift was not clean, generally the place looked run down and the price of the room was way over the top for the facility. Counter staff were nice. General staff encounters we're dismissive.

Cleaning staff awesome and friendly staff everywhere. Very expensive but close to some city shops. Builders drilling and hammering during the day was annoying with a young child napping. Felt it was overpriced but all of Gladstone was.

Rydges Gladstone they have frezz money from my account there bank are very poor safe members no exp at all I got late for my car payment in melb because of then on the phone recp very poor
