Reception staff were friendly and very helpful Location was over an hour from the airport and a ten minute bus ride from Port Douglas which is a very small town. A problem with mosquitoes.

The pool area The room The staff The look of the place Great to see that the gym equipment has been updated. This was our third visit. We really like the place but there is always room for improvement. despite our criticisms below, we will come back again. Not overly impressed with the food - quite expensive, not great quality. Breakfast was poor at $20 a head. Food had been sitting for a long time. Bacon was like leather. Omelette was good as it was made to order. Having to pay extra for a coffee was an insult. Evening smorgasboard was very expensive at $65 per head (plus drinks). A lot to choose from but simply too much to make for a quality meal. it would be better if you went to al a carte and concentrated on quality rather than quantity. The push bikes we borrowed were shockingly uncomfortable. Get some new ones before you cripple someone!!!

The overall ambiance of resort & pool was heated. It is very new in look as it has been recently renovated. We thought it was going to be funky in look however we found as a muture aged couple it was not over the top. Restaurant very expensive

Nicely renovated , nice pool and landscaping. Friendly staff and welcoming befitting a resort. Room was a bit small, after being used to more spacious apartments, but it was modern and comfortable.

Nice vegetation, great bar, very good food at the restaurant and the bar. Good spa options. They messed up the booking for our ride to the airport, but they were kind enough to book us a towncar to take us there.

Lovely staff and feel to the resort. When we had a problem with unruly neighbours, they stepped right up to help us out. The food, while pricey, is truly gourmet fare--even at the bar. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table and ping pong in the lobby and were made to feel very welcome. A really relaxed luxury feel to the resort overall. The rooms and view were lovely with all the amenities expected in a luxury resort style room. We wished that there was a heated pool or at least a spa tub as we went in July. The location is a good brisk 25min walk from town and with 4 people in our family, it cost us $32 to take the shuttle there and back. We wished we had rented a car. These are really small complaints when you look at our enjoyment over all.

It felt very relaxed (beachy)yet decadent. The staff at the front office, bar and kitchen staff were outstanding.....nothing was too much trouble, polite and interactive. The bed was very very comfortable. The evening dining experience exceptional value for money...highly recommend to at least experience this once. We found the house keeping to be less then average. There was always something missing every day (most days multiple things not replenished)...I.E. No face washers or hand towels, shampoo, soap, and tea bags. Room service was happy to pop over with the missing items and most apologetic. End up buying our own tea bags/coffee, soap and shampoo, and face washers. We found the room to be quite warm/humid and though it came with a cealing fan and airconditioner......the fan on high or the airconditioner on was too noisey to sleep with.

This is resort style accommodation. One pays accordingly but what we got was excellent quality. The restaurant food was memorable and we found the mix of buffet and interactive ordering with the chef worked well for us. We stayed here on the last night of our holiday and wished we could have stayed longer to further enjoy the facilities. I would suggest some brief instructions attached to the internet data cable in the room would be useful. This poor fool couldn't get a connection and didn't have the time to chase the matter. I understood charges applied and would have paid them happily if I had been able to connect quickly to make a brief transaction.

The one bedroom kitchenette apartment was spacious and well equipped. The cost per night for this resort compared very favourably against other resorts of a similar calibre. All staff were friendly and dealt with any queries promptly and pleasantly, making it obvious they valued their customers. Having a full fitness centre on site was a real bonus. We felt the choice of restaurants for an evening meal was limited - two extremes with a full buffet at one end and a casual bar type experience at the other with very few selections. We ate out more because of this.
