Super close to Ayers Rock and convenient bus shuttle to the airport. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wifi was not free...I would expect this in a 5 star hotel. Perhaps the hotel could consider offering some much needed take away coffees for sale especially when people are doing sunrise tours to the Rock.
Breakfast and dinner was outstanding.
The spacious and room, very comfortable bed, a corner sofa and a coffee table, as well as a dining/working table with 2 chairs were really convenient. Also a fully equipped mini bar, complimentary coffee, tea and milk, nice wardrobe and a very handy and well lit space for unpacking the suitcase. Clean and neat bathroom with nice quality amenities (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner plus even a +30 filter sunscreen!). We loved the Christmas dinner at the Ilikari Restaurant, the bar and the pool were also really nice. Not mentioning the close distance to the resort shops and restaurant. We really enjoyed our 4-night-stay there and would recommend it.
Nothing really - except for one incident with a cockroach which was tucked into a folded towel on one occasion. Being so close to the nature it is normal to see all kinds of life very close but perhaps the staff should ensure that the doors to the storage rooms are closed at all times, so as not to invite "unwelcome inhabitants" in! ;-) In any case, an insect-killing spray was also provided in advance.
Location, plenty to do during the hot afternoons, loved all the art and performances by the locals. Grocery store near by. Everything was within walking distance. This hotel is only a 5 minute drive to the Uluru- Kata Tjuta National Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here and would return again for sure.
Love almost everything: the facilities, environment, friendly staff, comfort of rooms. Very spacious inside the room and the court yard.
The most expensive among all the hotels in the resort.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Rooms are basic and a little tired, especially the bathrooms.
nice pool, very nice and helpful staff at breakfast, modern facilities, nice setting, ac was working very well.
staff at reception was not very friendly helpful, we had to ask several times for additional cups. After the first night we had insect bites at our arms and legs. The second day we didn't get any new towels, even after asking for them at the reception. Too expensive for what you get.
- The whole Ayers Rock resort is a big tourist trap. - Charging for Wifi in a 5 star hotel is outrageous but typical of the Accor chain - Be prepared to eat horrible food - Room is ok but the bathroom and exteriors are old and ugly
The swimming pool was great to refresh. The Christmas dinner at the restaurant was very good. Pleasant stay for everyone.
Not a lot
Unfriendly and lazy Bar Staff, which despite their Laziness and rudeness still highly focused on tips!! Being on the top floor opposite end to reception with no lifts and heavy bags, dragging bags to car by ourselves as no one came to collect our bags after ringing twice!! Food at Bar was terrible especially for the price charged!
Tourist using swimming as a spit bowl i should have told the guest off. Tv shutting off and lossing signal seemed to be insink with a/c which made a noise in the wall .
The reception and public areas were excellent, room large, spacious and great air con.
Restaurant sevice sometimes slow, pool area and garden a little scruffy.
Price performance ratio doesn´t match. The price are too high in comparison to the apartment and service.
Restaurant and pool amenities excellent and room was very good. Meals were world class. Staff were genuine and helpful. Highly recommended across the board.
Reception could accompany guests to rooms upon check in. Everyone I know got lost finding their room upon arrival. Room service trays were left outside room for four days??!
Amazing room - super comfortable bed best ever slept in Beautiful food - used australian ingredients and local indigenous products Staff were outstanding - friendly organised nothing was too much trouble Loved everything about the place
Nothing at all !!
Bags took over an hour to get to our rooms we could have taken them ourselves this was the only negative that the porters were a little slow
The staff was incredibly friendly and amazing. Thumbs up to the restaurant guy at dinner time! Worth it every cent and about the swimming pool: W O W! Amazing indeed. Would recommend to all my friends and definitely would stay there again. Thanks, Sails!
Public lounge area and exhibition.
Bedroom was tired. Bathroom had smell of damp.
Excellent evening buffets. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- The location - The Breakfast
Staff was all fine, nothing to say. But the organization of the hotel, from the cleaning to the laundry service, is completely to be changed. I have no idea who manages the hotel, but ... never seen such a lack of management. This said: 1. You can't have someone pay a small cake (10cmx8cm), 16 AUD, and ask the same amount for a main course. 2. Even if we did understand the reason behind this choice, you can't have the rooms cleaned up from lunch time to 5pm (the time people come back for a nap or a rest after being on a four hour tour under a 40°C sun!) 3. A lunch took 90 minutes to arrive to our room. 4. The 2 times requested soap for the laundry arrived after 24 hours... sigh! 5. The so much acclaimed balcony is useless! No privacy, your neighbour can see you from his window, and also chat with you.... who is the architect? 6. The room did not feel like a 5 star or a 4 star ... truly cheap. 7. Internet connection is another problem. Yes, I know, you are in the middle of the desert ... fine. But, today, we do have special connections for hotels located in distant locations! Common! We are in 2014 if you did not notice! Sorry to say, but the only thing that saves this hotel is its location. There is no other hotel in the area ... or so. You need to choose this one to see Uluru and be there some nights. Not worth the money spent.
Loved the service, the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and good value too considering we were in the middle of nowhere. Quiet and comfortable rooms
The pool was a disappointment for a 5 star resort.
Location Gecko's Restaurant Night sky
Walpa Restaurant service
The property was excellent and very quiet. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Staff on reception were well organised and very helpful
In the main restaurant we ordered a bottle of wine to accompany our steak. We waited for the wine is long the steak was almost cold. Staff in the restaurant and lobby bar were very willing but seemed to be disorganised. Perhaps they were understaffed. The situation might benefit from a senior person managing the service from the floor.
Good access to the Rock and all the facilities in the resort. Excellent washing facilities, much needed on our long trip.
We had to move rooms because of a faulty air conditioning unit, but we were made to feel we were a nuisance. No one apologised to us other than the mechanic who came to have a look. Reception staff were icy.
Location View from room Privacy Gardens Amenities Rooms were clean and tidy and large.
Service around the pool lounge area was very slow, towels and food service items were at times left from day before
