Score from 125 reviews Very good
Bathroom was not ventilated, no exhaust fan. Very old carpet and furnishing. Damp smell all round. Wifi signal was so weak in our room that we had to make our way out to car park to get better signal.
Location, very clean, nice staff.
12pm child running along the balcony. 1am party breaking up. 1.30am slamming of car doors and 4am alarm went off after cleaners forgot to reset.
Locality and staff were friendly
Position of room, had to climb uphill or up flights of stairs and with physical problems it was hard. Couldn't take car up because of a lot of broken glass in car park
Convenient location with easy access to CBD. Good value accomodation and carpark on premises. Staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms not very soundproof and at times a little noisy. Lighting could be improved around acess to rooms at back of property.
Quiet location handy to gardens and pleasant walks to shops, theatre, restaurants.friendly helpful staff.Revamping of rooms will bring this hotel up to scratch and make for a pleasant stay.
older parts of the building require revamping
The staff are very friendly & want to make sure your stay is pleasant. when I was there they had renovations going on and yet they still made sure mine and others who were staying there still had a excellent stay.
The TV is antiquated - the "set top" box is old technology and provides a broken or pixellated program when its not frozen. There is insufficient parking especially when there is a function in the restaurant then there is even less. The balcony lights stay on till eleven or later and of course the curtains don't keep out the light. The machinery in the storeroom alongside room 205 sounds like a jet engine when it starts at seven (if you weren't awake before you are now. Another guest was complaining the air/con heater in their room wasn't working. The staff forgot to replace the sugar, coffee and replace the empty soap in the dispenser that they took out. The meal in the restaurant doesn't live up to the advertising.
Did not dislike anything
The location to everything
The room we stayed in on our return was right next to the carpark on the ground floor
Provincial but nice staff
The restaurant of the hotel quite expensive
Had to climb too many stairs with heavy ports. Really needs some maintenance which appears to be happening with some of the rooms.
Location was great, staff friendly. Food was great!
Very noisy from road noise and adjoining rooms unfortunately.
Large comfy bed, large tv. Easy late check in with key in external box.
Traffic noise in street front room despite double glazing! Bathrooms old and tired. Screams of ecstasy from prostitute? In red door room two rooms along from ours!
staff were great, room was very nice, great food and nice bar
Location was good
Two of 3 rooms had no electric blanket. Rooms were cold and doors were hard to open and close.
Great location, value for money, great bistro and close to everthing.
The bar and restaurant are within the hotel. This is always a bonus for short trips for business.
The door lock to the room I stayed in looked to have been tampered with.
resturant and bar was great
The location and our room was to the back and didn't notice traffic noise...
Friendly and obliging staff Lots of space to park, esp. with a large vehicle
Breakfast seemed rather expensive
Friendly staff. Good food at bistro.
Paper-thin walls, dated room. Seems a bit expensive for what you get in return....
central to town
just adequate. staff not focused on clients. carpets not clean. decor poor. not as envisaged when looking online prior to booking.
