The friendly staff, tranquill setting and great indoor pool.

No heater in the bathroom.

The exterior was amazing and the staff were very friendly

The countryside is incredible and the hotel was so relaxing. Having our own little piece of verandah to sit on was great. We attended a wedding at Sebel which is also why we stayed at Sebel. It was a great location for a wedding.

It was very expensive for just 2 nights stay.

The surroundings are brilliant. Wonderful country views, lovely rose garden, beautiful grounds. A homestaed feeling. The room is above average size. Comfortable bed.

Solar hot water broke down for a day or so, but the manager provided a bottle of red in lieu. Staff were a bit laissez fair Breakfast bacon was not up to scratch.

Toilet seat was hanging off, hair dryer had no filter on the back, so when used hair kept getting caught and tangled.

We enjoyed the view, setting, location the design and layout room and gardens. We particularly appreciated the upgrade and acknowledgment of our anniversary.

A little difficult to get in and out of the pool.

Room was good enough, Lady at the dining room was great, she went extra mile for us.

Spa pool was very dirty with lot of crap on the side of the spa. pool spouse to be heat it but it was very cold, was looking forward to warm our self but it was very poor :(

The location is good for accessing the vineyards. The room price was good value. The swimmming pool/spa/sauna were excellent. The staff were very good esp in the restuarant. I would recommend the hotel to people but say to eat elsewhere.

Whilst the food was excellent the resturant was a bit expensive. The sides were wildly overpriced $8 for a bowl of chips is ridiculous as was $8 for a bowl of beans. Also the mains were slightly overpriced If we stay at the Kirkton again we would probably go into Cessnock for dinner. When two mains, two sides and a bottle of wine cost more than the room that is is not good value.

The restaurant was a shocker. Unbelievably poor wine selection, ironically. Zero catering for dietary needs eg veg and GF. Slow service. They tried, but overcooked and unimaginative alternatives for dietary needs. Very expensive. Not recommended. No alternatives unless you drive.

I liked the layout of the hotel, the dinner was good, the waitress was V.good. I loved the varanda.

It was signed everywhere as an accor hotel I had an accor card that was not accepted. It was very expensive & breakfast was extra, I had assumed at the rate I was paying it was included. We were there for opera in the vineyard, & were not informed till we asked about transport. There was no information given freely regarding this event. The receptionist knew we were there for it & told us nothing. The staff were very pleasant but inefficient. We booked a room with twin beds which was on the booking form & taken to a room with 1 bed, so had to move rooms...

It was a pleasant overnight stay - after attending a wedding reception 30 minutes away.

It looks a bit "old", but still very functional.

Country and heritage setting with great views. Good beds.

Breakfast buffet was sub standard. Could not find anything I liked on the dinner menu. Too cosmopolitan for my taste. Housekeeping staff were very poor during our stay. Ie. Bins not emptied, no clean glasses etc. Poor tv and foxtel reception. Great venue let down by the above reasons.

The room even though we were upgraded was a bid tired and in need of renovation. I don't think it up up to standard for the price
