Shelly Beach Motel

The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. Tea and coffee supplies are generous. Enjoyed relaxing on the balcony.

The shower head is too low for a tall person like me. It might be an idea to install telescopic showers to rectify this problem with little cost.

Wise use of space in toilet and shower. Low bench was good for meals and general use. Bed was comfortable and had enough coverings. Wall decor gave a homely touch. Brick internal walls gave a warm feel. Floor coverings were spotless.

Rubbish bin hadn't been emptied before we arrived.

Everything. Stayed in a hole on my northbound journey. Shelly Beach was such an enlightenment on my southbound journey. Airy, clean. great view and friendly, friendly. Most of all I loved the cat theme. Made it homey.

Loved the closeness to the beach, and the quietness of the motel room and complex. The staff were helpful and friendly and my room was extremely cosy and clean.The price was great to for a pensioner like myself.

The owners are great. I arrived at 8am and they did everything to make the room ready as soon as possible. The breakfast is great too. I had wonderful sleep there. So far it is the hotel with the best value for money I had in Australia. I would certainly book again.

The location is not the best. But it is a motel. So the most guest will have a car. The hotel is not perfectly isolated. Still, I had a great sleep (and i have normally a very light sleep).

The motel is in a wonderful position just across the road from the beach and a short walk away from good restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have all the necessary amenities and were good value for money

The sisters who run the motel are really helpful and know everything about the area and best restuarants... rooms are clean and big.

The owner, Debra, will make you feel very special during your stay. Always very attentive, asks you if everything is ok, she is very familiar. During a small internet outage in the hotel, she let me use her computer in her office. Very nice of her. As for the room, very clean, spacious, well furnished, and the breeze from the ocean across the street will entice you to stay longer. I look forward to stay there again if I am in the area.

The rooms were lovely and spacious, every room was furnished differently, giving that personal touch.

The motel is situated on a busy road so we did experience some noise.

Very nice motel and very friendly manager. Very calm and clean. The organised tour to Fraser Island was great.

Location opposite a family friendly beach. Refrigerator, microwave and sink available in rooms. Comfortable beds.

Great place to stay

Great family business, very friendly and helpful. The beds are good and nice firm mattress which is great as my husband has a dodgy back. We found the showers good lots of lovely hot water. Across the road from the beach and a brisk walk to the cafes, easy place to stay and I believe they are also a dog friendly hotel.

You have to use coded cards to log on and off the WiFi and cards only last one hour. Bit annoying if you have work.

We had the time best here. The girls are fantastic, even lending me a cardigan when the weather turned chilly. The room was more than adequate and the bed very comfortable, with great pillows. All in all, highly recommended.
