Really liked the décor of the bathroom and the bed was very comfortable.
Would liked to have a door on the toilet section and there was only one chair available for 2 guests.
Very comfortable beds, no road noise despite overlooking the Cahill expressway, fantastic heated pool-so much better than the Four Seasons pool. Awesome staff.
Ambience was excellent, beautifully furnished hotel.
the room was very comfortable
The hill when walking back to hotel!!!
Location is excellent.
Our room had some grubby marks and needed repainting in places. A strange looking cupboard door only had dirty old plumbing pipes behind it.
Conveniently located to the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, access to off street parking and the atmosphere.
Air conditioning ineffective.
Everything one of the best places I have ever stayed
Luxurious accommodation duh, and very helpful staff.
Early check in was no problem. Complimentary room upgrade - fantastic views over Botanic Gardens towards Opera House. Excellent large room, well furnished with comfortable bed. Complimentary bottle of bubbly for birthday!!! Thanks
All the staff treated us as if we were very special.
Could not fault the hotel
Location, decor, appointments, room size, Juliet balcony, bathroom, staff, pool, bar, food. Our favourite hotel in Sydney and one of our top five worldwide.
Great location for Harbour, Circular Quay, The Rocks and Opera House precinct. Lovely old world charm hotel. Would definately stay again.
Couldnt book and reserve a window table for breakfast in the streetside Restaurant.
Everything about the ambience, staff, facilities and location
The way the eggs are cooked at breakfast.
The efficiency, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The decor throughout. The size of the room and bathroom. The intimate bar and dining room. The relaxed atmosphere. Felt so comfortable and at ease here.
The overcooked omelette at breakfast. The way the eggs are cooked for all breakfast dishes.
Great staff best location an effortless charm and comfort beautiful spacious rooms with opening doors onto small balcony just beautiful
The location of hotel is great. A 5 minute walk from opera house and circular quay. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Decor needs updating.
The location to the Opera House. Service was 10 star and the room was amazing. Best breakfast ever!
Sir Stamford has Sydney's premier tourist locations right at its doorstep. A short walk to the city for some shopping or a stroll down to the Rocks for a meal from any of the great restaurants. Circular Quay train station provides easy transport to the airport or anywhere you want to go, no need for car hire.
I think that a full buffet breakfast would appeal to families.
Location was superb. Excellent staff. Large comfortable room.
Hotel showed signs of "tiredness" needs a bit of a upgrade / face lift.
Breakfast in the dining room, professionalism of the staff and the feeling of quality and care nearly everywhere.
As with most hotels, I found the air conditioning stuffy. When the door on to the balcony was ajar the room was noisy.
The staff and my comfortable room
I missed having the fire in the lounge
We enjoyed our spacious king room with balcony overlooking the Rocks and bridge approach. Everything was lovely. We ate at the bar dining area which was comfortable and informal. Location allowed us an easy walk to the Opera House for a concert, a stroll through the Botanic Gardens, and breakfast at the Quay. Staff were all lovely. Definitely will be back.
Nothing I did not like.
Great location, close to ferry terminals and a short walk to several restaurants at the rocks. Friday night in the bar is very enjoyable with great entertainment and food. The Sir Stamford is a wonderful hotel with friendly helpful staff who will go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We will return.
Found the bedroom too warm at night.
Excellent customer service; we were upgraded; everything we asked for was provided without haste or difficulty.
You could hear through the walls/door - the people in the adjacent room were making noise that kept us awake for a little while.
They upgraded the room The open fire in the Lobby
$100 a day surcharge Computer system down when came time to settle. They originally had me as not having paid bill when in fact I had pre-paid for 3 nights. I had only to pay for one night. Originally charged me 4 days for parking when I had only stayed 3.
