The staff went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay
Would loved to have stayed longer :)
It is quite a far trip into the city. We didn't know which tram to catch and where it was. When I politely asked the reception if they had a tram timetable or knew where a tram stop was they were quite rude and said they had no idea.
Having windows that could open was a treat. It is lovely to have fresh air.
Excellent value for money. Everything you could want for a weekend stay.
Nothing not to like APART from the lift was a bit difficult to get used to with regard to the card-swipe. Other people had the same problem. After getting used to it it was fine. Also the room got too hot in the daytime requiring us to ring down to have the air conditioning turned up.
Everything was great,would stay again
That the pool isn't heated and can not be used whenever!!!
Have put this answer in wrong place. The aspects not so good were: 1. Night of Sat 6th Sept females from end room past 6041 spent several hours in early hours of morning shouting and running up &down hallway. I should have complained at time but didnt. Room keys deactivating, possibly caused by storing with cellphones but we weren't told that in advance. .Final thing not good and may be out of your control, was that in room 6035 with the very strong wind that blew consistently all the night of 8th Sept, the loud whistling noise with window shut tight kept our 15 you old daughter awake virtually all night, which wasn't good prior to us flying to NZ the next morning.
Did like the location close to trams and trains and from my son's place in Coburg.. Great having an affordable restaurant on site.
the view was amazing and it was so lovely to wake up to! great staff as well, always tended to our needs.
there was no real doona, it was a blanket covered in two sheets which gave us a bit of a laugh.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The suite we stayed in had a great view of Melbourne! Decent location and good facility!
The room was a bit cold, it didn't have electric blanket and weren't able to control the air-con, and was set to 23degrees.
I'll see you again that's for sure
The air con
We have often stayed at rydges hotel but this was the first time on the other side of hotel. We found to our surprise that the bed was more comfortable and liked the size of the bathroom. We will defiantly stay there again
A park for car not easy to find the night we were there
Good location with good easy access to public transports into the CBD
Booked a kingsize room but given a small room. Constant draft coming in from the window due to to broken seal. Patrons are rough and smokes in room. Request change of room but not accommodated to my request.
Very nice rooms, very good value for your money. Excellent stuff.
Air condition wasn't working or adjustable. So the room was quite cold.
value for money
being woken up twice during the night with fire alarms and announcements. obviously faulty something otherwise the fire department would have automatically attended?
Overall my experience was good, the room was clean and quiet. Although the room wasn't overly large it was more than adequate for a short stay and the breakfast was quite good value.
My only gripe was the $7 fee for parking but I suppose, given the closeness to the City you would have to expect to pay for off-street parking.
Good view, comfortable modern room.
Not much as I was very uncomfortable.
It took 4hrs for someone to work out that the heating was not working from 3.00pm to 8.00pm the heater was blowing cold air. Spent a very uncomfortable 4hrs in the room. I was eventually given blankets and a portable heater, (a bit late). I was offered free car parking and free breakfast which I did not accept. I think I should have been offered another room or my money back.
great staff, a credit to your hotel I would highly recommend this hotel as great customer service makes your stay trouble free :-D
Came to watch AFL game
Great location, ease of access to carpark, room and general surrounds very clean. Bacon and Eggs plate breakfast was an excellent start of the day.
Bed was a little uncomfortable - mattress slopping to middle
Great value motel with three breakfast areas to choose from.
The value for money was excellent. Close to public transport, friendly staff, good meals, was one of the better beds that I have slept in. Could not fault this hotel.
Most staff friendly and helpful except "Reception!!!"
The shower curtain was dirty The heater was broken The bench was dirty There was a sock on the smoke detector/ water thingy The blanket had holes in it Window behind the bed TV wasn't in a suitable place Not enough parking for the size of the place And when I made the booking ... One was in one hotel and the other in here That wasn't suitable when one room was for my child
