Central and quiet!

The hotel its self had a great history of the building whuch I liked - and it was close to shops and china town

The room we were in had broken central heating - so we were offered little heaters instead - as we were in a 2 bedroom apartment it didnt really do the trick. On asking for a couple of extra blankets for our beds we were told they were fully booked and so didnt have any spare - so we had 2 cold nights which was very disappointing especially as we paid $500 + to stay there - didnt really find the staff member at reception very helpful - on saying that the staff member in the mornings was much more friendly

Convenience to CBD shopping & restaurants. Spacious Living room & easy access to location. Female receptionist on checkout very helpful & knowledgeable.

Very Poor noise insulated rooms. Constantly awoken by people walking/talking etc. in street, & the 6am onwards emptying of the rubbish bins (lots of bottles) each morning. The bedroom was very small with limited walking space around the actual bed. Bath room was not much better & not all that private. Male receptionist on check-in misinformed us per account information. Disappointing stay.

The location is on the fringe of the CBD and top of Chinatown, right next to trams and train services. The Princess theatre is nearby and is also located walking distance from the MCG.

It is a fully serviced unit and were charged for this even when no service occurred on a public holiday or Sunday.

The locaion was very good for us. Our room was nice a quiet. The staff were polite. The pool, gym and spa are a waste of time in my view and that money should be spent on maintenance of the rooms and better tv channels.

Our heating did not work and was not fixed during our 5 night stay. The shower was damaged and so was the towel rail. These things were reported to reception. We were offered a new room but had already unpacked. Maintenance should be improved. The pipe work vibrated and sent rusty water ino the shower and hand basin.

Air conditioning not working, couldn't be fixed in the four days we were there, luckily very hot weather ended two days before. Can't be sure, but suspect you knew about air conditioning and through an over booking we were given that apartment. Apartment itself was very nice.

Good location. Nice historical building!

No Wifi in the room, only provide internet access. No lift to basement, it's inconvenience carry three luggages and stroller with young kids.

The architecture of this hotel was surprising and very charming. It's a treasury in this big city.

Sauna was broken

Nothing really other than location, this place has no parking so add another $30 on top of their $195 room charge for dbl bedroom air con don't work as good as they should have for $195+30 price range. In room menu for room service was expensive and food we ordered you could oven bake it yourself we tried duck pancake rolls*3 and calamari which was chewy. All in all this place charges like hotel but service and facilities is not upto scratch my score 4/10

Room was clean.

Reception desk mostly unmanned and therefor unable to give assistance as required. Unable to contact reception by room phone. Television not receiving all channels as advertised. Room temperature too hot and unable to do anything about it.

Good location

Room was smelly. We didn't sleep well the time we were there. We did ask for another room but there was told that there was none available. I am sorry to say this but we won't be staying at your hotels again.

great location. check out staff was great and friendly interesting building big suite with large rooms generally good fitout - bathroom needed refit very quiet except for plumbing noises would be a great place for a longer stay without the smoking smell

although a non smoking venue room 42 smelt of long time smoking... very dominant. check in staff member very off hand and busy - did not know where room was in detail - wave of hand only "it is at the back" - had friend with mobility problems and had to do a lot of walking to work out where to go and ferry luggage. 'king bed' was a very lumpy twin single joined in the middle. fridge did not freeze ice overnight no bath

The atmosphere, the old style look. Location within walking distance of everthing, or the tram stop to get you there. Staff were helpful.

Air conditioning in room was slow to cool the room, and we were there in hot weather.

It's better than you expect. Friendly check in, good amenities, room not bad.

A bit old and pretty dated with a very squeaky floor and quite old decor. Bathroom is average at best.
