Location, view, and the voucher for parking. The amazing shower pressure! The electronic card 'keys' required care and some refreshment.

Comfortable, relaxing and convenient to the event that we were attending for two days. Although we had rain on two days there was no wind! The relaxing vista of the shipping in the section of the Harbour that we were able to overlook. The proximity of the bar beneath us!

IT is a very convenient location, comfortable although quite expensive. Nothing in the fridge is a bit unfriendly.... a bar fridge and a few things to eat would be helpful.

Locality. Great view. All in-house mod cons. King size mattress on bed instead of two mattresses pushed together would have been preferred.

We felt like we were on a luxury boat, without the sea sickness. Please would you have painted on the bituman on the right of your 2 hotel car spots: "no parking" to make it unmistakably clear for us relaxed honeymooners who have our minds on other things! Front desk did tell us but painted sign would have avoided an unnecessary fine.

For the price paid the room quality and comfort were below par. Bathroom not as clean as it should have been. Room climate control was very poor. Main bedroom- the bed was too large for the space and door could not be closed. No ventilation in the main bedroom One window that could be opened was not sufficient Tea and coffee in short supply Very sub standard for $350 per night.

Great location, good sized rooms, very clean, friendly staff. It really could be something special. The noise! Located above a bar that plays loud music until 3:15am. Our room was further down the pier yet I still couldn't sleep so I can't imagine how the people in the balcony rooms above the restaurants coped. It was really, really bad. I felt for the staff working check-out and totally understand why they didn't ask if we'd enjoyed our stay.

Location, Location, Location The noisy Festival on the oposite Pier, that sometimes went too late. Possibly needed double glasing in the windows, not just a partial doubling of some of the windows.

Location was fantastic. Rooms were very clean and well serviced. I just feel for older people having the bedroom upstairs could be a problem.

I loved the location - so close to the city and especially the Salamanca Markets. Great pubs and restaurants all in easy walking distance. It was great looking out to the view of the boats on the wharf. Good accomodation for a family. The main bedroom got a bit hot at night and the extraction fan was too noisy to be left on all night. The normal ceiling fan helped though.

The location was great. . The bedroom was small and enclosed and the bed uncomfortable. I complained about the broken air conditioning and the subsequent inability to sleep ( 28+ degrees) and was assured the room charge would be reduced by $100.

Well located and iconic water views. Staff were courteous wiyhout being friendly. The apartment was comfortable and well designed without being luxurious. It was noisy. The external noise from boats in the dock is a consequence of its location, but the noise from adjoining rooms was somewhat unsettling. The bedroom was on a mezzanine floor upstairs with the bathroom downstairs which was inconvenient during the night. The beds were too firm for our tastes and teh pillows uncomfortable. On Saturday night they were hosting two parties downstairs and the music was loud and unavoidable. Not what you'd expect for more than $400/night.

Convenience, reasonable cost and comfortable. Much quieter than I thought it would be. The odd hair around the shower recess doesn't go down well. A minor point overall but worth noting. Difficulty with bags to be taken upstairs. We left ours downstairs and took clothing up as required.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest receptionist and, let's be honest, first impressions do count. So welcoming and informative. As most hotels refuse to accommodate a family of four, we were so impressed to walk into a room that was modern, classy, spacious and welcomed 2 adults with 2 older teenage boys. The view over the water was so relaxing. Being close to the cbd, Salamanca and restaurants, we were able to walk everywhere. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Somerset on the Pier and are looking forward to returning in the not-too- distant future.

Literally on the pier, excellent dining (Chinese next door brilliant, Mures top deck 2 minute stroll), Water taxi to casino 2 minutes away. Salamanca market (Sat. Morning) 5 minute stroll. Tv in bedroon had full digital reception - sadly the tv in lounge did not. Staff attentive & friendly Water flowing in guest lounge facility (adjoining room) disturbed us untill I turned the water off, Reverse cycle a/c very noisy. Tv in lounge only had very limited channels, $6.00 per 30 minutes for internet was a bit rude.

It was great, we really enjoyed our stay, the staff were absolutely lovely, being near the main part of hobart and the cruises and the view, lots of restaurants, rooms very warm, loved having the small kitchnette just right to cook up small snacks, porridge for breakfast or if we wanted we could run down and buy beautiful fish from the vans along the pier and make a salad back at the room. Walls too thin, could hear everything going on in the next room - also we had double bed which was 2 single beds pushed together. I prefer a double /queen/ king size bed without the ridge up the middle. Being a family with 2 adults and one older child in the evening we found it not so easy to relax as there was only a small couch which was not luxurious compared to the rest of the room and could only fit two people on it.
