Good beds, decent rooms with okay coffee tea facilities. Excellent full breakfast included. Bathroom just passable.
Paper thin walls and floor. Asked to turn TV down not because it was loud but because there were people in an adjoining room without a sound rated door between us and them. Despite payment in full before arrival (months in advance) and photo ID still wanted a $150 security deposit
The location was great especially with having a very short walk to the major shopping Bourke Street Mall and alleyways with excellent cafes and restaurants. Clean room and working TV and fridge. Accommodating staff and helpful. Very good breakfasts included. Thankyou very much and will stay there again.
Good breakfast, Provide Robert Timms coffee instead of those horrible instant coffee. Walking distance to Southern X station. Luggage storage very useful if waiting for late flight.
Room was facing construction site, Very Noisy.request in august for a ground floor room(confirmed) then NOT GIVEN on arrival.Toilet not cleaned for five days. No reading light buy bed.Breakfast eggs cold every day. Waiter in dinning room picking up dirty dishes (am)then handles all the bread with her dirty hands, every day.
Location is good. Good breakfast.
The wall must be very thin and can hear people do everying in the next room.
In a good location where we needed to go. Price was good including breakfast.
Single beds joined together as one queen sized bed.
When we arrived the lady who greeted us and checked us in was extremely pleasant but unfortunately we didn't see her again.
Our room had a large wet patch on the floor that took 3 days to dry and the bathroom tiles could do with a re-grout. Besides that the walls were also "X-tremely" thin. The other staff members were generally unhappy to be there. We had included breakfast but after realising how basic it was (no fresh fruit or appetising hot food) two of us didn't attend again. The other made one attempt but was informed twenty minutes before the end of breakfast service that the chef had said no more.
The room was the size of a shoebox- adequate for a solo traveller-clean-made up daily. Water supply good for showering
The fact that I had paid in FULL 3 months in advance for a standard double room with all facilities - to be told that the tiny twin room was all that was available at check-in.Lost count of the number of times I banged my elbows in the very narrow shower. Very very noisy from construction next door.
Room was good size and nice beds. Location was good
Staff weren't overly friendly, breakfast was poor and parking was a block away and we were told we would get a voucher to pay the parking in which we did not!
Location, Small hotel with all amenities and facilities, Value for money
Staff were a bit rude
The room rate is very reasonable and breakfast is included. The hotel is very clean.
At times there is only one staff member to cover reception and the bar area so it is often necessary to ring the bell or leave a phone message before someone comes.
Walkable distance from South Cross Rail Station and also SkyBus Depot. Given a room upgrade
Breakfast included in room price was only fair. Instant coffee sachets provided at breakfast time when generally fresh coffee is provided. Do not like $125 room deposit to be charged and then have to wait days for it to be refunded.
Beds Size of the room Location
Room clean and comfortable Breakfast
Some mould in shower wall tile grouting
reception staff are not professional way toward customer. The security fee should not be charged before customer arrived. I have not experienced this situation in my life.
Location is very good & close to either the tram stations or the train stations. Close also to Coles which is one of the most economic hyper markets.
Hotel is very old; internet connection is very poor.
Easy for a night from southern cross airport and room spacious and equipped.
Soiled carpets and surcharge, which has never happened before, even though I pointed out and showed them that it said debit card. Thus on principle would not go again.
Close to Southern Cross and CBD
Clean room, comfortable bed, in the CBD, good value.
Breakfast was a little bit average but OK. Some fruit might have been nice.
it is near southern cross which was important to us at that time.
not much of a view we had, there was construction of a building right at our window so not much to look at, then imagine wanting to have a sleep in with the construction noise before 7am. The bed we had was 2 singles joined together so we can feel the beds edges between us.
No hair dryer
Close to southern cross, reasonable price, clean and tidy, breakfast included was a bonus, although we are vegan the cereal and toast and fruit was sufficient when we brought our own milk and margarine.
It took 20 mins for someone to come to reception, no wine glasses, no hand towel rail for towels, no bedside lights, no light switch near the bed, couldn't read in bed unless the main light was on
Good price breakfast was nice and receptionist morning and evening very helpful. Also was so good that we could store our luggage there till we were ready to go to our next destination
double glazing; breakfast
Hotel is in a very good location room size was good bed was good.
Stayed here Feb2014 before for four nights and had no complaints even had bacon and eggs for breakfast. This time stayed seven nights. same bedsheets for seven nights.room was not vacuumed any day and only had bacon one day of the seven.Had to pay more this time because the Melbourne Cup was on but the service was not as my first stay.
