Fantastic setting right on the beach. Rooms had everything you need, laundry with dryer dishwasher and full size oven in kitchen, coffee plunger, toaster, microwave and all sorts of pots and pans. Fantastic TVs one in lounge the other in the bedroom and an excellent selection of cable TV channels. People running it were lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend these apartments. I had a wonderful holiday here and would return anytime. Only one negative - on the last day they were doing some renovations downstairs and it was a bit noisy but it did not go on for too long

The location was great. The rooms are a good size. I payed for a ocean front view room and the view was a side deck over looking part of the ocean and the other the city. Also we had to pay for toilet papper before we even stepped foot in the bathroom.

The view from apartment 1 is magical. Pool and bbq areas are great. Perfect location to cafe and shops The over powerful smell of the lemon cleaning chemicals on arrival. Need to leave windows open to let fresh air in. But at least u know its clean

We really liked the position of Spindrift, close to surf life saving club, where the food was excellent. I specifically asked for a unit facing the beach and we were a little disappointed to find we had been given one on the side. I had even rang up (because I had booked on the internet) and asked if we had an ocean front unit and was told that we had been given one.

Excellent location right on the beach, with unobstructed sea view. Great lawn, bbq area and pool. Gold Coast is a fun location with plenty of things to do and see. Australia zoo, even though it is a bit of a commute was our favourite. Air conditioning would be nice, both for temperature and humidity. The surf is a bit on the rough side, so don't expect to go swimming with small children. Traveller's tip: there is a pirate themed playground between Palm beach and Currumbin where the swimming is also good for children.

Apart from the uncontrollable freak weather conditions the location is ideal, disappointing the kids were unable to use the beach, nobodys fault. Liked the heated pool & spa also security parking. We hope all the units are not like Number 20, were we just unlucky? In need of a total makeover, ensuite disgusting, tiles, cloudy mirror, toilet suite. Hot tap cover on cold tap in laundry. Draw front in kitchen off. Blankets need washing. Not at all impressed with the unit.

The location was first class, any closer to the water and you would have got wet. The staff were very helpful and polite. Don't be put off re lack of air con because the breeze off the ocean was great and kept the unit cool at all times. The units are spacious and well maintained. I loved every minute of my stay. I had guests stay for the weekend ( 3 adults and 2 children) and there was ample room for us all. They even have a box of beach toys for the children to use. I will come back again next time I am in Australia. There was nothing about the place that I didn't like.

The staff were more than helpful, including the cleaner/caretaker on site.the accommodation was just like it showed on their web page.we were absolutely blown away with the views from our lounge and balcony. We will be making this our annual accommodation when staying in qld Whilst we were staying at Spindrift the water supply failed, due to an electrical switch on the mains water pump.this happened on saturday morning. Temporary works were performed by a licensed plumber to ensure adequate water supply until such time as a replacement part could be purchased. But again on the sunday morning there was no water. We found this to be a bit of an inconvenience. But it did not stop us from enjoying our stay.

The view The room was small, it smelt, we got shocks from the light fittings, the fan in the bedroom didn't work, the main light in the en suite didn't work, the couch was so damp and dirty we had to put sheets on it so we could sit on it. The couch was old threadbare and uncomfortable. The first day the carpet was damp and the second day it was flooded due to water pouring through the rusty joinery. It was very noisy and hot. We stayed one night and then left as the accommodation was flooded. We returned from shopping late in the afternoon to find the outdoor furniture plonked in the middle of the room and water all through the lounge and bedroom. We were on the fourth floor and the lift wasn't working. We had to find other accommodation late on the day. Luckily we had been to the area before and were able to find excellent accommodation at Kirra beach apartments. We emailed our concerns and queried the amount we were charged to spindrift but have had no reply. Very disappointed in this accommodation it is much older and smaller than the photos on the web page led us to believe. We assumed it would have air conditioning but it doesn'T. No way is this five star accommodation I would give it two at the most. Overpriced and very disappointing

overlooked the beach, perfect position to surf club, swim between the flags, clean and tidy, nice pool, plenty of parking, close walk to shops for groceries, and take away"s,beautiful sunrises over the ocean. The view was the best i could have wished for. A Little tight to park in car park with 4wd, blinds to front windows didn't work well, pull cords kept pulling apart, so the sun heated room up very quickly from the front windows, 5am each morning.Blinds in kids room let a lot of light and heat in early morning.

Leaving and the view. No air conditioning, our room was so hot day and night, it made it almost impossible to spend any time in it. We had to have the windows open at night, which were all corroded and hard to open, and the ocean noise made sleep very difficult. For the money, look around
