Friendliness and generosity of the owners Jim and Lorraine. Great friendly feel to motel. Consideration for the comfort and welfare of guests was outstanding. Jim drove me to hospital when Taxis did not respond to call. He also drove my son and I to Roma St Station with all our luggage on our departure which was greatly appreciated. If staying there again, I would shop for groceries and cook meals. Evening meals offered a bit ordinary. The 2 - 3 kms walk up and down hills to restaurants and the city area made it difficult to obtain meals if no vehicle and unable to walk distances. However, good value for money otherwise.

Quiet, walking distance to bus/rail/food Free wifi, friendly management no shower or toilet in room. Should be a lower tariff for the inconvenience. Should at least have a toilet in the room.

We had a night out in Brisbane, and decided to stay in a budget room as it was the cheapest, and almost as cheap as the backpacker single rooms. Some friends of ours stayed in a backpacker place, and I'm glad we stayed here after seeing their room! Staff were really friendly, 10 minute walk into the valley for nightlife, and we were allowed to sit around the pool after checkout until our pickup turned up. We had a shared bathroom between 4 budget rooms (3 of which were occupied) but this wasn't much of a problem as we're used to camping and having communal facilities.

The staff were fabulous. Even offering to give us a lift to the supermarket when we asked for directions! Very helpful and personal service. Walking distance to the business district and very close to our conference at QUT. Thanks,

Budget-wise, it represented value for money. Signage on the Road: I took a taxi from central station. The driver drove up-and-down the road trying to fing the number 260, that cannot be seen from the raod when fcing the property. As I pictured the facility as a re-converted home/B & b (so it was list a side street), I took the Neon-signs as belonging to another property of a similar name. Only when the driver circled and descended a side street, did we land upon the number "260" affixed to a wall at the vehicle pull-in-spot. For a weary traveller, arriving at night (9 pm) after all day travel from the Pacific islands, clearer signage would be appreciated. The Reception staff on duty at chek-in and check-out appeared exceptionaly tired, both times. Instructions were elivered rather rote-like. When I requested calling a taxi at check-out,t here was no acknowledgement verbally. The woman merely moved to the stationary telephone for ringing a taxi service. Person-to-person communication was rather bland, in my view.

the hotel staff dealt with all reported issues quickly as they could.they were temporary staff but were very polite and efficient. the apartment had allot of room, very big for our needs. the hot water came on quickly. internet connectivity should be handled by I.t. not hotel staff. when handled by an it person I find connecting pretty easy. when handled by your hotel person, they are polite but just don't know what was going on. I almost did not connect. no milk in room because cleaners left towels in fridge (dealt ith by hotel staff). lamps did not work. more power points were needed, a power board would be useful.
