Stewarts Bay Lodge  

The setting and layout were superb. Restaurant and service excellent.Quiet and relaxing.Convenient location for sight-seeing and tourist attraction.

We had a 3 1/2 star but a heater in the bathroom would have been beneficial.

The cabin was lovely and despite the hail and rain was lovely and warm, comfy beds and a view of tranquillity. The staff were very friendly and the food delicious!

Price was a little high for a family of 5.

The tranquility of the cabins with well appointed features. Located within an area that worked well for most attractions. A very pretty location.

Natural setting in the bush.

The paths are horrific - too narrow and unlit at night, we twice scraped the car. Lighting is a major issue. There was no torch (until one of the wait staff found one for us) and the entrance to the unit was very hazardous. The menu at the bistro lacks any imaginative vegetarian options, the lighting is too low, and it is overpriced. The heating in the unit was inadequate.

Everything! The views from our bungalow were spectacular. The room was beautifully furnished and appointed. Every surface was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The restaurant made a fabulous breakfast buffet for a very good price and the staff could not have been more helpful. They even provided lemons and honey for my wife who caught a cold.

We did not find a washing machine. We were travelling for several days and it would be nice to be able to wash and dry clothes.

Excellent views and it was so peaceful. Excellent Bed. All round comfy. Would definaty go back. Thoroughly recommend.

Wished we could have stayed more than one night, definately will recommend to anyone visit the Tasman Region, Port Arthur and boat tours

Excellent location to port Arthur historic site. Within walkin distance, and great bay views and close to water.

Cabins were basic ( we didn't have a luxury cabin they advertised) fly screens didn't cover the whole windows so couldn't open windows. Small bathroom. Electricity was out for the first 3 hours we were there.

Location. A beautiful setting and scenery. Cabins nicely spaced so that there was plenty of privacy. Meals at the restaurant were very good but a bit expensive compared to accommodation in Hobart.

These days one expects both heating and cooling in accommodation, considering the cost of hiring the accommodation facilities There was no cooling in our cabin and we experienced one day of 37 degrees and others in the high twenties. Some of the crockery and cutlery needed re-washing before we could use them.

Great views and fantastic food. Enjoyed waking up to a stunning outlook each morning.

Location, ambiance

The cabins were set in the bush with the wild life right at your door. we all like the state of the cabins and the roof sky lights. They are well maintained.

The staff in the restrauant were very snobby. The 4 of us are in our 60s and we were laughing and having a good time and we were told to be quite. No body was talking. I asked him if it was a restrauant of a morgue.

Near port auther

We are happy to bring the rubbish out when checking out. But it makes people feel uncomfortable as it is a requirement for guest. The hotel's restaurant cannot meet the need for the lodger. If you check- in later，you can not even find another available restaurant near there(within 10km)

The setting was amazing. The log cabin was very bright and spacious. The location was good. Extremely luxurious for a lodge, log cabin at the price we paid. Wonderful to see and hear the wildlife around us. Although we didn't use the restaurant it was within the resort and appeared to have an excellent menu. There was a wedding reception whilst we were there. Fantastic location for it. This restaurant was on the edge of the lake.

Although it stated on the spec. provided by Bookings that there was air con in the accommodation we'd booked there wasn't. The flyer we picked up also stated all lodges had air con. However, it did say in the information provided in the cabin that air con was only provided in the deluxe lodges.

It's proximity to Port Arthur Historic Site and the fact that we could walk to it via a nature trail where we encountered local animals.

The woman who checked us in was one, if not the only less than totally friendly people we encountered in 17 days in Australia.

The location was great for a wedding. We were able to spend time getting to know others. The waiters in the restaurant were fantastic.

Lack of public transport. The lady at reception was cold and quite unfriendly.

A very relaxing and beautiful place to stay. A great beach for younger and older children.

The outdoor spa was unavailable. This was one of the attractions when making the booking.
