Great location, friendly staff, family friendly.
The rain! But the place cannot be blamed for that :)
Beautiful location right on the beach. Great pool and spa. Very relaxing and refreshing sitting on the balcony watching the ocean. The kids loved it almost as much as the adults. Would recommend to everyone that wants to get away from technology and crowds and enjoy their family and the beach.
No aircon but not so bad due to sea breeze; and wifi wasn't free.
Location, friendly staff, spa and swimming pool, security
Aircon in room not working properly, pan in kitchen needs replacing
Everything...the location, the peace and quiet, the ocean view. The apartment had everything we needed, even though we were there for only one night. We will be back!!!
We couldn't stay longer!!
Postion is incredible, pool and spa lovely, spacious and very comfortable apartment with walk to facilities
Some aspects of the apartment in need of maintenance eg ceiling fans a bit dirty and bathroom door didnt shut properly, however I understand property has only recently changed hands and plans are there for general improvements like this. The bedroom adjoining wall was not soundproof and next door's radio went 24/7
walking distance to clubs and Restaurants just loved listening to the sea while going to sleep.
We have bad backs and having no lifts was a bit hard dragging every thing up stairs its only 3 stores high .
Beds were comfortable Living area was well presented Quiet - away from traffic noise Ocean views were lovely
1. Cups were stained - looked disgusting 2. Vanity unit doors in bathroom - warped and unable to close 3. Sink in ensuite - plug hole black ? mould 4. Vent in ensuite - surrounding paintwork peeling and vent dirty 5. Stain on carpet in main bedroom and on cover on bed 6. No complimentary tea and coffee
steps and no lift old garage door reception not open at 9.45 to book out
Beachfront location Heated pool & spa - kids were swimming in August Great location to escape the chaos of the the Gold Coast but still enjoy the beach Able to stay for just 1 night Unit comfortable
location quiet away from the heavy traffic of Surfers, Broadbeach etc and suitable for young children with beach just out front.
the unit 20 was reasonably maintained but somewhat dated and showing wear. Bathrooms needed repair to shower screens and also light fittings need attention. AC in master bedroom only and other bedrooms not AC and facing west which would be uncomfortable in summer.
The unit I stayed in wasn't clean there was no water in ensuite I told the manager the night we got here which was Saturday and it got fixed Wednesday absolutely disgraceful.
Loved the location, great for families with children of all ages, easy to find and loved the beach.
Close to beach and motorway
Top floor- lots of stairs after long days with kids
Beachfront position Walking distance to shops, restaurants surf club
Location & view
Dirty white doona covers on the bed and general cleanliness wasn't very good
Location, clean, very obliging staff
Lovely management, location was great absolute beachfront. The apartment was immaculate in terms of cleanliness however the building and furniture is very tired and needs updating. But it was still a pleasure to stay there right on the beach
Not within easy walking distance to any shops, except 7/11 and McDonalds
Nothing excellent all round
We have stayed here 3 times now and have already rebooked for october..its nice n clean close to beach children friendly
The beach was literary out the front! No crossing roads - it was just there and looking fabulous!!! Free carpark! Thats almost unheard of in Queensland!!! We are definately going to stay here again - and telling our friends also.
Loved the absolutely stunning beachfront location on a perfect beach a few steps away from the flags. Fully self contained unit with everything needed for a great stay, and a lovely little patio to watch the sun go down. Easily accessible to everything. Quiet (no noise heard) and other holidayers were very friendly. Managers very nice and helpful. A very chilled-out resort.
No airconditioning in any rooms, so wouldnt go back at any hot time of year. Fans were a bit old and noisy and only able to be turned off with a pullcord and the one in the lounge was quite high to try and reach. Bedroom ceiling lights didnt work (at least had bedside lamps). In main bathroom the shower screen ran off the rollers easily if you tried to push it. Wanted to hire a cot but told only mattress available at a per night charge.
Great family time, and everyone loved the pool and the view..!!
The TV didn't work at all.. Spoke to staff and reply was poor and not what I'd expect. There wasn't enough towels - But overall the view made up for it..
Location and rooms were clean
No air con
We arrived at Surfers Horizons after hours and the keys had been left in unit 6. When I walked into the room it was cover in wet salty air, due to the sliding screen door being left open with no air-conditioning and only ceiling fans. I was informed in the morning the staff had left the door open to air it out, was this due to an odour or from a long time not being used. Everything from the carpet, lounge, bedding and the walls, the whole unit was wet with salty air. As the office was unattended and we couldn't afford another accommodation we decided to stay the night. I then went to turn the TV on, which didn't work so I checked the power point from which I received an electric shock. We decided not to use any power point in the unit. I then noticed that the power point in the kitchen had a blue stain around the plug connection, this indicated to me the it was oxidization caused by the salt air and the copper used in power points. The shower had black hair on the walls. The en suite door had what appeared to be faeces wiped on it and the single beds had sand in it . After an uncomfortable night I rang a mobile number as the office was unattended to inform the staff of the condition of unit 6. She did apologise, but was out shopping and wouldn't be back for an hour or so. When I finally met the staff lady she seemed more concerned about the power problem in her unit following a recent storm than the point that I'd got an electric shock from in a unit. We were then moved to unit 12, but the condition of this unit was the most disgusting 4 star unit I have ever stayed in and none of the rooms had air-conditioning to help remove the sticky salty air, once again only ceiling fans in bedrooms. The portable fan was rusty and didn't work. The carpet in the stairwell was soggy and stunk profusely and there was no attempt to alleviate the problem for the 3 days we were there.
