Staff friendly helpful
Noisy renovations made breakfast and bar unpleasant. Parking station access was confusing and very expensive.
The noir of multiple conversations from next door was extremely intrusive. My partner barely slept.
Gentleman at reception was lovely. It was our first wedding anniversary and we were given a lovely bottle of champagne. :D
Was being renovated at the time so the view wasn't as nice as expected at breakfast.
We liked the prompt front desk and concierge service The hotel room and cleanliness. The view from our room The restaurant and its service
location, staff were nice
the pillows are terrible and trouble with the lift cards
The Darling Harbour location was great, so close to everything.
It was within walking distance of everything! shops, cafes and restaurants. Great views!
Noise at night
light in bathroom faulty tv reception poor
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Noisy due to surrounding construction. Room decor a little dated.
Cleanliness despite renovations being done Service was excellent Breakfast was excellent
Major upgrade happening
The whole set up. And no balcony when you address these things email me and my lovely wife and I will be there with bells on
Location at Darling Harbour. Excellent public transport with light rail at the door.
Building is very tired and needs an upgrade. Only bar food available at certain times which was substandard. Room service food was also substandard.
Loacation is excellent
Thought room would have been on a special price as I booked it quite late as was wanting room within a couple of days after booking.
Liked location & parking
Breakfast was expensive, I cant eat $35 worth of food, but it was very lavish.
I like the location
They were doing renovation and it was really noisey. I spoke to the reception. But no action.
View was amazing
Was quoted by booking.com that breakfast was included but was charged $70 for breakfast. It's not worth $35 per head!
The hotel is situated right on Darling Harbour, next to a wide array of dining and shopping options.
Caveat emptor: Nothing is included! The WiFi was especially disappointing; with the price you pay for lodging, I would expect this sort of thing to be included, but instead the rate is exorbitant and the Internet connection itself is so slow, it's nearly unusable.
IT NEEDS A MAKE OVER, ITS VERY TIRED LOOKING.
Location, front desk staff very helpful, housekeeping responsive to a couple of minor issues which were solved very fast. Parking on site is useful, even though the construction works in the carpark made life interesting.
Breakfast space is inadequate for demand - we paid B&B rate but went outside for breakfast in the end. There is inadequate space for parking prior to check in - only 2 spots, both full for longer than the allotted 15 mins all the time we were there. Taxis park in a way that obstructs the exit from the carpark - tricky if in a large vehicle
Excellent location good rooms.
No free internet which is available at other Novotel hotels. No Baileys Cream drink available at bar. No fox sports live channel available . All the above should be standard for a 4 star hotel.
There were delays at the check out at 9am with 6-7 people waiting to check out, with only 1-2 persons at the reception, one going away to do other things, take calls etc. Furniture , sofa's in the ground floor concierge area is old and beaten up, did not feel like sitting on it.General cleanliness needs to also improve in open areas, lift areas etc. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and will come back to Novotel Darling harbour,
